Small restaurant, but extremely accommodating staff. I wanted iced coffee, and although not on the menu, I got it. We ordered the guocomale, and I must say it was one of the best outside Texas!

We got off the c&o trail to stay at a b&b in harpers ferry. Since we are traveling by bicycle we were pretty much limited to the restaurants on the lower part of town and based on reviews of the restaurants here I wasn't optimistic , but we did have an enjoyable dinner at the Towns Inn. Everything is a... More

I've been here a few times for lunch, usually after a long hike. After handfuls of dry trail mix, pretty much any hot food sounds appealing to me. So far we've tried the veggie burger, house stew, pulled bbq pork, and lots of hot greasy fries. Everything was delicious. Nothing fancy, just good simple food. The inside of the house... More

This was our second visit to the Towns Inn. We had just finished a hike on the C & O Canal and decided to come here for lunch. We had our dog and my husband wanted a beer so we ate on the back patio. West Virginia has a rule against serving beer too close to sidewalks. The patio was... More

The food was quickly prepared and brought to my table at the edge of the outside patio. The patio fronts High Street, and if you enjoy al fresco dining and people watching, ask to sit outside. I had a vegetarian burger, which was excellent. The homefries were cooked perfectly, soft in the middle with a hint of a crisp outside.... More

Anniversary day trip - stopped at Town's Inn - went inside to notify we were on the front patio-told to seat ourself. One other couple seated, another followed. We waited approx 7-10 minutes-saw staff but no one bothered to wait on us - we along with party that came after us left. The remaining party was done and waiting on... More

Myself and a friend were bicycling the C & O Canal Towpath from Cumberland, MD to Washington D.C. and arrived in Harper's Ferry, WV with food and a shower on our mind. We first attempted to get a room in town at a Bed and Breakfast but the rooms were sold out. We than set our sights on food and... More

OK for lunch, we had dinner there once and I wouldn't go for dinner. Place is nice, service was excellent but food was only OK. It's convenient and right downtown. Good for beer and a sandwich and fries. Place is pretty small and you are very close to others around you. .

Mold in the beer glasses and awful food, need I say more? My recommendation is stay away unless you want to get some kind of illness.

We were in Harper's Ferry on Mother's Day; a beautiful day with loads of tourists out and about, including us. We stopped in at The Town's Inn and were pleasantly surprised at the good food and friendly service. My husband enjoyed looking around the indoor shop and the kids enjoyed their quesadilla, hot ham and cheese sandwich and chicken tenders.... More
