Convenient Stop for Ice Cream

My family and I were exploring Harpers Ferry after our dinner at home, and we were craving some ice cream. Scoops is only a few steps from the train station where we parked, so it was very convenient. Although the place is just a tad old and worn, the ice cream was decent. Best ice cream shop in town. The pumpkin ice cream is fantastic. The price seemed to be the best around also.

Stopped by here and had the pumpkin ice cream on a homemade chocolate cone. It was delicious! Others in my group had a pumpkin milkshakes, which they reported were also delicious!

The outside of the building was filthy with spider webs and the seating area was less than impressive but the ice cream was good...However I'm not sure if it was because we were starving by the time we decided on where to try ice cream that evening.... If we had to choose again I'd try somewhere else. On a good... More

Had the worse ice cream ever and had to return it! Who returns ice cream right? The chocolate chip was terrible: Icy and flavorless. Tasted like it had been sitting around for a year!

They listed peach as one of their flavors and I got excited. Unfortunately when they brought it out to us, it was neon orange mass produced ice cream. Not even that good of ice cream. My husband ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough, it was much better. Little too pricy. The workers were nice.

We grabbed some ice cream at Scoops on our first day here and it was really good-- 3 of us got refusal soft serve in old school cake cones, nothing fancy-- just cold and rich and smooth soft-serve goodness. The place is cute, lots of tie dye and rainbow hippie vibe goodness. On day2 we opted for the frozen custard... More

So here I am looking for good ol' homemade ice cream and all I got was the soft serve vanilla/chocolate twist which I can get from my local Dairy Queen. I was looking for a more extensive list of flavors but once I got there, I think there was only four (?) ice cream flavors to choose from. There was... More

Stopped in to get a scoop of some homemade ice cream and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and was quick. Best part of the ice cream from Scoops is that despite how hot (80)and humid(80) it was outside, it did not melt but rather stood up to the crazy elements, mine was consumed in a manner in which...
