Delicious little cafe!

We had a delicious dinner at this quaint cafe in Harper's Ferry. Their Ploughman's charcuterie comes with delicious piccalilli, a type of relish. This place is BYOB with a small corkage fee. Excellent cafe!

All I can say about this place is AWESOME!!!!! This is one of the best meals I have ever had and I'm gonna go as far to say that the Sticky Toffee Pudding is the BEST dessert I have EVER eaten!!!!!!! The staff was extremely nice :) The atmosphere was cozy and took me back to my childhood.....I LOVED it... More

Visited for dinner at 5pm on Tuesday. We chose this place based on TripAdvisor #1 rating. There were 3 of us, and we were all shocked at the appetizer sized portions of our meals. The price for a sandwich, a soup sized bowl of pasta and a meager portion of salad along with 3 soda drinks came to $50. We... More

Pleasantly Surprised! We decided to stop here as we left HF. The special was Seared Tuna, chard, and rice. OMG. Was quite good! Our server was also the pastry chef. We had the most amazing strawberry crisp ever. Would recommend this place. Be prepared to not be in a hurry- was worth the wait, as the meal is freshly prepared.... More

Food is very fresh and carefully prepared and seasoned. Nice atmosphere in an old historic house - makes for a relaxing setting without being overly fancy. A bit of a walk from the lower historic area; however there is street parking available. The potato soup and strawberry-rhubarb crisp were standouts (although the latter was a little heavy on the ginger).... More

My boyfriend and I experienced some of the best service at Canal House Cafe. Our rental home was right behind the restaurant yet we were unable to check in due to miscommunication. Anyways, we had no place to go and were stranded in the heat for 4 hours. We told them our story and they were very sympathetic. Melissa, one... More

We walked into this little restaurant after our ziplining tour in Harpers Ferry. It was a really cute place and we were surprised to see it empty on a Sunday afternoon. Staff was friendly, food was good, and we even took some soup back home to Maryland. Everything was prepared upon order and ingredients were very fresh and yummy. We... More

Five of us are here to celebrate the end of a 300-mile bike trip and a 33rd wedding anniversary. The meal was absolutely great! A superb coconut/cauliflower soup, great salads, really good chicken/pasta in wine sauce, and great deserts. This description really doesn't do it justice -- it was a memorably delicious meal (it's true we had just ridden 50... More

We had such a busy Memorial day weekend! I am so sorry that we weren't able to keep up so that you could have had the full menu to choose from. Thanks for your comment, very valuable feedback. More

Visited ion Memorial Sunday and had the Farm House Salad. the menu describes it as Carrots, shaved red onions, roasted fennel, hard boiled eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, over mixed greens, house-made honey mustard. We asked the waitress about the portion and she said it was a meal. so my friend and i both ordered one. I ordered mine without... More

Negative reviews, while difficult, can be the most important because they keep us on our toes. We will be vigilant in regards checking the portions. We never want our guests to feel that they have not received an experience that is commensurate with what they paid for. Thank you. More
