Great restaurant

Great wholesome food served with a smile. Remember to BYOB as they do not have a license to sell alcohol.

I think I read all the reviews on Tripadvisor and expected too much. Food was good, but overpriced. Our waitress messed up our order, and was apologetic. They ran out of the special, and there was not much besides overpriced sandwiches and salads left. I had the Jefferson, which was tasty, but more like adult mac n' cheese with peas... More

Very slow service, but food was good. Would not go if you had hungry kids to feed. Prices reasonable

From the Johnny cakes to the cup of chocolate for dessert, everything was subtle and delightful. The osso buco and Virginia ham sandwich were fantastic entree choices, as well. The atmosphere was quaint and charming. Overall, it was everything we had hoped for and more. We will definitely be going back!

It is a small cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. The food was fancy and had vegetarian (not vegan) options which is nice. They have a policy of "Bring Your Own Beer/Wine/Liquor" so if you want some wine bring your own. There is a place to buy drink about 2 blocks away. Apparently the Canal House cannot attain a liquor license... More

We had a great dinner tonight. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. I like that it was farm to table. My husband had the lamb ribs and I had the farmhouse salad. The sticky toffee pudding was wonderful and I tried to take the rest with me. Wonderful place to eat

Intimate little cafe on Washington Street in historic building. Service with a smile and the food was absolutely delicious and very fresh. No liquor license but BYOB is fine! Don't miss this place if you visit Harpers Ferry.

My husband and I enjoyed our special dinner at the Canal House. Not a lot to chose from on the menu, but what they offer, they offer well. We recommend i.
