Pleasant dining

This was the second time we have eaten here. It is a pleasant relaxed place with old time interior. The food is advertised as fresh and healthy. The food is interesting but for some reason not as good as the last time we were there. The service is very good and the prices are reasonable. My... read more

This restaurant was right by our hotel, so we walked in on a Friday night. The menu is small and unfussy, but wow--we had two incredible sandwiches. (Ham and brie and a fancy BLT.) The bread was fresh, as were the ingredients--granted we were hungry, but the end result was delicious. All of the waitresses were very friendly, and the... More

Who would have thought that this little place right on the side of the road in Harpers Ferry , West Virginia would be serving seriously good and interesting food. But it is, and what a delight. Everything we ordered, from the soup to the salad and even the pimento cheese had something special to recommend it. This place is a... More

Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed our meals there. Portions were smaller, but it's probably closer to what you should eat. Could tell the quality of the food was good and fresh. I had the chicken and pasta dish and I could tell the chicken was very fresh because it was so much more savory. Historic feeling and style was... More

I am a local and met with friends for dinner last night. I really enjoyed the eggplant & lentil entree, which was both healthy & savory. Since it's never a meal without dessert, I also shared the sour cherry & almond cobbler. Both dishes were wonderfully tasty. As always, great atmosphere. Though all the tables filled up, I loved that... More

We recently had dinner at The Canal House. The overall experience was good not great. The menu is extremely limited, consisting mostly of vegetarian offerings. We tried the only two meat dishes on the menu. Both were good (pot roast and a chicken and pasta dish) but the portions were very small and the prices were on the high end... More

The staff was extremely nice :) The atmosphere was cozy and took me back to my childhood.....I LOVED it... More

We had a delicious dinner at this quaint cafe in Harper's Ferry. Their Ploughman's charcuterie comes with delicious piccalilli, a type of relish. This place is BYOB with a small corkage fee. Excellent cafe!

Visited for dinner at 5pm on Tuesday. We chose this place based on TripAdvisor #1 rating. There were 3 of us, and we were all shocked at the appetizer sized portions of our meals. The price for a sandwich, a soup sized bowl of pasta and a meager portion of salad along with 3 soda drinks came to $50. We... More

Pleasantly Surprised! We decided to stop here as we left HF. The special was Seared Tuna, chard, and rice. OMG. Was quite good! Our server was also the pastry chef. We had the most amazing strawberry crisp ever. Would recommend this place. Be prepared to not be in a hurry- was worth the wait, as the meal is freshly prepared.... More
