Bayfield has a lot of places to get astoundingly fresh fish, but Port Side definitely does it the best and does it consistently. The menu is filled with well-executed local staples, but the specials use ingredients that are a little more exciting for Bayfield. For example, the smoked fish dip (which is a Port Side staple) has great flavor and... More

To be honest, I went in hopes of satiating my hunger for another great steak, but the Center Cut Filet is so delicious, they sold out of them....on a Sunday! So instead I opted for the Seafood Pasta Special with shrimp and scallops, and a house salad. Hands down the best dinner salad in the area. The maple vinaigrette dressing... More

Portside Restaurant is a must stop when traveling in and around Bayfield. Marina dining in a relaxed casual atmosphere with a great marina view. My menu choice was the petite filet with scallops and was not disappointed. Service was excellent. Don't let the quick two-mile trip prevent you from trying this restaurant.

When we drove into the marina we realized that this was the same restaurant we ate at during our last visit to Bayfield a few years ago . Since we were disappointed with our food and service then, we had an urge to turn around and look for dinner elsewhere. But for convenience sake we decided to give Portside another... More

To start off we arrived. The host was the friendly and seemed to know his stuff when it came to the Restraunt. Suggested the blacked steak salad. I got that! And it was exquisite. I had my pregnant wife and three kids. The kids had chicken strips and fries. And one didn't want fries and got apple sauce. They loved... More

So I would like to start this review by honestly saying my wife and I have never returned a dish at a restaurant in the 7 years we have been together. Firstly, we were recommended to Portside while vacationing for a few days at Bayfield. We arrived right as restaurant opened at 5pm. We waited for 5 minutes to get... More

My husband and I have had dinner here many times over the years. This location is convenient for us. Tonight will be the last until there are changes. Service was fine, but the food was terrible. We also had the most expensive item on the menu. My shrimp still had its digestive track, my steak was well done when ordered... More

My mother and I visited the Portside on July 22-our first night of our Bayfield getaway. We were unpleasantly surprised to discover the restaurant is on the second floor. Both of us have mobility issues, and it took some effort to climb the stairs. If I had been alone I would have turned around and gone elsewhere, but Mother's stubborn,... More

This restaurant is a cool place with a great view of the lake. The pricing is on the high side but not outrageous. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. I ordered the seafood platter and regretted my decision. Everything on the platter was good but there was too much fried food for me (my bad),... More
