Unbelievable Eggs Benedict! This little cafe was down the road from our hotel and served huge portions of delicious breakfast fare.
LOVE the omelettes, egg scrambles, sourdough bread, four seed bread, homemade raspberry jam, and coffee. Add to this the wonderful splash of colorful floors and wood ceilings and service with a smile. We've been going to The Egg Toss for ten years now on vacation and it's my favorite place on the planet for breakfast.
Upon arriving in Bayfield, we headed over to The Egg Toss for breakfast today. We were pointed to a table in the corner by the hostess, and seated ourselves. After a bit the waitress came over with menus and coffee. My boyfriend ordered the Crabby Benny, and I had the French Ecstasy. While waiting for our breakfast, our server was... More
This was our first time eating here after reading the reviews. The hollandaise sauce was excellent - tasting like real sauce should taste! We arrived early to beat the rush, and the service was fast and friendly. Food came quickly and it was just excellent. I had the eggs benedict and my husband has the huevos. We both raved about... They have a nice breakfast selection. A bit expensive but lots of food. They only give you raspberry jam for your toast. It was good though. The waitress was very busy and never stopped to refill my coffee. However, I did not flag her down either. My breakfast was very good.
We had a wonderful breakfast at the Egg Toss...so good we kept coming back for more. I had a delightful concoction that blended pancakes and cranberries with a satisfying cranberry/orange sauce. I also had a spinach/mushroom eggs benedict that was to die for! I wish we had stayed a few more days, because the food was interesting, different and delicious... More
We ate here our last morning in Bayfield. When we entered the restaurant, no one greeted us and finally some one said just sit any where, They were a little busy but not full, but we had to wait a little while before anyone came to our table. Our food came fairly quickly and it was cooked the way we... More
I had a Belgian Waffle/bacon. The Bacon wasn't as good as our previous breakfast at another restaurant in town. Usually I love Belgian Waffles, but this one didn't taste quite right. I can't remember the name of the breakfast my husband ordered, but he loved it, eggs/hash-browns and bacon and sausage, he got his money's worth with this meal. I... More
My husband & I shared two items, the Queen's Benedict and the cream cheese loaded french toast. Both were very good, The hollandaise sauce was amazing! This would be my "go to" breakfast place if I lived nearby, and I would try everything.
Food was overcooked. Ad states they serve the best eggs benny....it is not. My poached egg was over hard, the homemade hollandaise sauce was so thick it was like frosting and tasted too much like lemon....my husbands omlet was great but hashbrowns on both our orders were so overdone it was like eating shredded potato chips. Waitress was friendly.
