Hard to figure out how a restaurant specializing in breakfast can serve such good food and weak coffee at the same time. Hell, McDonalds has better coffee.

We had breakfast here before going on a day-long kayaking trip, it was one of the few places open early enough for us to meet our 0800 reservation. The eggs benedict was delicious - the hollandaise was home-made and very creamy and scrumptious. I had a half-order, which was just the right amount. My husband had the special - ham,... More

I originally went to The Egg Toss Bakery to buy a quick to-go roll for breakfast. However, I decided to stay for a full breakfast when I saw breakfast service was offered. The restaurant is clean and well-decorated. The food was very good, and the wait-staff was very attentive. Overall, a great experience.

We really enjoyed this cute little breakfast place, for the atmosphere, food, service and large portions of tasty food. If you are going to be kyacking, biking or hiking, this will fortify you for the day ahead! We sampled the omelets, country fried steak and eggs, waffles and pancakes and enjoyed them all. The smoked chicken apple sausage was especially... More

Yum! How I wish the Egg Toss was in my town! I can still taste those delicious lemon & cranberry buckwheat pancakes served with their homemade lemon curd. At first I felt hesitant about ordering "buckwheat" because it can be a strong flavor and make a dense pancake - but these were mildly flavored, fluffy and light. I'm smacking my... More

Our youngest son took my wife and I and his older brother and his life companion to the Egg Toss for breakfast. We all had exactly what we felt like eating, ranging from the fresh Lake Superior fish, such as a whitefish Benedict (complete with Hollandaise sauce), my order, to pan cakes. Fresh jams are featured condiments, and endless mugs... More

Plan ahead if you want a seat on a busy weekend. Lots of from scratch yummy breakfast foods served in a local cafe style. Try the Crabby Benny or the French Ecstasy Toast with local berries. Yum! We go every time we're in Bayfield and it's always packed with satisfied customers.

Stopped here before heading out of town. It was a great way to fuel for the roadtrip ahead. Friendly service. Good mix of locals and travelers. Good food. Fun decor.

Seems to be the same owners of Wild Rice, which is a fantastic place just out of town….the Egg Toss is pin neat inside, service great, coffee good, and a big menu. My ham and eggs were served quick and portion size was more than adequate. Susan's granola pancakes were just OK though, they are just buckwheat pancakes with some... More

First, the pros: large portions, bright atmosphere, good service. The cons: I expected better quality food. The breakfast strata was overcooked and dry, the corned beef hash was simply chopped corned beef added to commercial hash browns. Cinnamon roll was good, but again, not great. Meh. $25 with tip for two people.
