Great lunch

We had a great lunch here. Several of us had the hamburger and french fries and one had the beans 'all the way' with corn bread. We also had dessert (I don't think the pies were homemade though so you might ask)... the atmosphere is like a smalltown cafe and has antiques all around... don't be in... read more

This is an authentic Southern eatery that looks the same as it did in the 1940s. The general store venue you walk through on your way to the dining area is interesting, but really dusty. The place looks shabby inside and out, but the locals love it here. The beans and stew combination and burgers seem to be the favorite... More

This is one of the few local eateries in Greeneville with homemade biscuits (not frozen). It is a family-run operations with a bit of history. It is set in an old general store and there is loads of old advertisements and merchandise to look at. It is almost a museum. The food is great and the staff are very friendly.... More

The Bean Barn is a great little place to enjoy lunch. Walking through the door is like going back in time to an old general store. My favorite lunch is a bowl of pinto beans sprinkled with onions and a big square of cornbread. If you aren't a bean eater, they also serve burgers and other sandwiches.

Although this was my second trip to the Bean Barn -- the first over a year ago -- I brought my husband with me this time. He LOVED it. We sat on stools at the counter, the best way to experience the vintage flavor of the family-run restaurant and have a chat with the owners. The menu is limited and... More

We planned a lunch stop in Greeneville on our way home from Nashville. I confess that the town was only on my radar because of The Band Perry, and I wanted to see the hometown that they talk about. We decided to eat at the Bean Barn after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and seeing it in an old Southern Living... More

The Bean Barn is one of the local favorites. Great burgers (with a toasted bun), fries, and a drink in a laid back atmosphere. I don't always get the beans, but when I do they are cooked to perfection.

This is an old store that has been converted to a restaurant. My out of town relatives insist on going every time they come to town. Jerry is behind the grill cooking up your order. I have only had breakfast there once, but I had eggs and sausage gravy biscuits. Lunch can be a burger and fries, soup beans and... More

From the atmosphere to the decor, this is one of my favorite places to grab a burger in Greeneville. I understand that their soup beans are awesome and their Hobart (country ham on a burger) is great as well, but I can't pass up their burgers when I go. They are open only M-F but make sure you take the... More
