A little bit of everything ...

Every trip we take, I search for scrapbook supplies so when I saw the listing for the Emporium I couldn't wait to take a peek around - while there are some paper supplies there, it is not a full-fledged scrapbook store. However, the building is fun and has some great collectible pieces on display... read more

This spot in beautiful downtown Del Rio has really good milkshakes. It has a kids play area, souvenirs, scrapbooking materials, and many other things you wouldn't think it has. It's a great place to take visiting company..and after you go the first time you will find yourself making occasional solo trips to feed the need.

Went here after hearing that the milkshakes are magnificent. The owner met me and greeted me at the door and walked with me to the soda-fountain counter. I sat on a counter stool and ordered a chocolate malt. I watched the "soda jerk" scoop chocolate ice cream out and blend it and the other ingredients in a mixer from the... More

Grew up in Del rio, love this little place. I love that we still have something historic here but I went for the first time in about a year, I was so disappointed with how rude the owners have got! My son is 2 and I let his play with the stuff on the "table" the owner wouldn't stop staring... More

We visited the Emporium while walking downtown and seeing which stores were still running. They had some good shakes for a hot day . Daisy c. Aeviasmom.Le-Vel.com

We visited The Emporium while in Del Rio on a hunting trip. We enjoyed the trip back in time in the ancient building filled with old-school style toys and gifts. I'm pretty sure it's haunted, but not unpleasantly so. The owner and workers were very helpful and friendly to us. The best part of our visit was the homemade milkshakes... More

This place is just too darn cute with all the knick-knacks they have for sale including a ton a scrap-booking supplies and Del Rio themed souvenirs and it looks like a simply old time ice cream parlor. I love getting their coke floats made with real syrup and carbonation. You can get ice cream sodas, shakes, etc. They serve my favorite,... More

The Emporium immediately takes you back to days gone by the moment you walk in the door. A quick look around and you'll see countless items that one would have purchased in the 50's or earlier, yet also find a touch of the new. The real treat, however, is the old-school soda & ice cream counter! Truly one of the... More

The Emporium is a wonderful place to go and enjoy ice cream, Italian sodas and a great atmosphere. They make the most awesome malts! They serve Blue Bell Ice Cream which is my favorite brand of ice cream and they have a great selection of ice cream flavors. They have great customer service and love the antique ice cream parlor.... The Emporium is a great place in South Del Rio, which is a landmark on Main Street. The owner's and staff are always friendly and helpful. The have the best selection of Blue Bell ice cream in town, and make the best shake and sundaes. There is a wide variety of coffee to chose from too. They have a nice... More
