My first experience with Texas BBQ. We were traveling on a family vacation...and I wanted to stop in the second I saw the sign! Fun place, nothing fancy, but you could totally tell that alot of people like this place, it was very busy. We got a sample of a few types of the meats, and enjoyed them all. The... More

That's not completely fair...I had the ribs too, and they were awesome as well! My boyfriend and I come to Del Rio about twice a year, and CRAVE the Del Rio Rudy's YEAR AROUND! I have eaten at different Rudy's and NONE compare to the one in Del Rio! The brisket melts in your mouth! The service is always great... More

The sides don't compare to the prime rib sandwich. The prime rib sandwich was awesome but the peach cobbler wasn't as good as I remembered.

I have tried just about everything on the menu by now, always stop here when I pass through town: excellent food, friendly folks, you really can't go wrong. Unless you don't try it, then you're just making poor life choices. The toppings 'buffet' can be confusing for first-timers, but it's pretty standard bbq sides, and they usually spot newbies and... Rudy's is a great surprise. It's a gas station and a cool restaurant; very unique. The decor is relaxed country....red barn like building with picnic tables and a screened in poach inside. Staff is super friendly. I've been in twice, once last October and again last week. Each time I was greeted then the concept and menu explained. The anchor... More

We eat at Rudy's frequently. The food is consistently good. We have tried nearly everything on the menu and like it all.

Had the half pound of turkey with beans and slaw. Good as always! The food is a little pricey but i have always received a high quality serving at every Rudys. I highly recommend the turkey! As for the cafeteria style and family dining seating, its an opportunity to "meat" new people!

I have never seen many cars in the parking lot and that speaks for itself. The place is cafeteria style dining and seat yourself at long picnic tables. There are large plastic bottles of Bar-B-Q sauce on each table that feel like no one ever cleans them/ nasty to the touch. You can order meat by the half pound &... More

Served cafeteria style, with a wide selection of "sides", you just can't get a better BBQ meal in Del Rio. The ribs are the best I have ever eaten, the pork loin and brisket and turkey sandwiches just melt in your mouth. There are bottles of sauce on the tables, both mild and spicy, which are also available for purchase... More

You wind through a cafeteria line to pick up beer and drinks. You order meat by the half pound and it comes on a sheet of paper. There are side dishes like beans, corn, and coleslaw. Seat yourself at long picnic tables like a school cafeteria. The meat was light on smoke flavor and long on jalepeno. I suspect that... More
