Excellent post-hiking dinner

This is your typical Rudy's. I like their barbecue, especially the sausage and the green chile stew. The staff were friendly and the food was good. It's a good place to stop if you don't want to try something new and you'd like to get tasty food quickly.

The customer service is outstanding. The moist brisket is the best. The cream corn is even more delicious. The restaurant is super clean. You will definitely want to Come Back because I will for sure.

Just happened to discovered this BBQ place accidently when stopping for gas. Excellent brisket and turkey...lightly smoked but tender as butter. BUT if I had pick just one item to eat regularly and frequently it would be their green chili stew! Wish I could order it by the gallon for trip home to Alaska! Danged good!

Texans love BBQ and you should be able to get some any where in Texas. So we thought. On our spring trip we stopped for gas at Rudy's in Del Rio, Texas and the BBQ smelled so good we decided to grab a bite. Unfortunately, it was cold and had absolutely no taste. We just could not eat it. Even... More

Nothing stood out about this Rudys that was good so I rated it as average. There were a few things that were negative the outside of the brisket was real salty. I usually like eating the burnt part of the brisket but this was way to salty to eat. Also the location it is behind the mall and wal mart... More

Many times BBQ can be dried out. We had the chicken and pork at Rudy's and the meat was moist and tasty. Maybe even better was the green chili! This is a casual place. Order from the counter, sit at picnic tables. Plastic spoons, forks. It's about the food, which was excellent. A fun place. Would go again! Great service... More

I never pass up a chance to eat an any of the Rudy's locations when I travel. They are usually the highest quality and very consistent. However, I found this location extremely disappointing. The baby back ribs were poor in quality with much more fat than is usual for Rudy's. Also, the ribs were undercooked and tough. Usually the meat... More

I have been going to Del Rio on business for many years but never ate here. I do not like BBQ but the rest of the team loved it. They did have delicious turkey. Wish they would have had a side salad. All in all if you like BBQ then you will love it here.

The food here is awesome, my choice here is LEAN BRISKET, you really can't go wrong. Every brisket is pulled out of the giant smokers they have there and cut to your liking and at the table you chose your BBQ sauce, either the sissy or original, both taste great I'd recommend the original. When you're finished and have enough... More

Great place for a big group with open seating. It's not on the menu but on the weekends they have prime rib. Get that in your naked potato. Delicious! Great breakfast tacos too.
