If you need a plate; don't visit this place

We stayed in one of the hotels nearby and wanted some salad. This is not the right place for salad. They have brisket, chicken, beef. Everything is really good - if you don't mind to eat from a paper and have no plate. So if you want to eat stylish, don't go to this place. Otherwise you will love... read more

Are you kidding me? It's a BBQ joint! The Del Rio Rudy's has to be the loose leader for the corp. You can usually shot a cannon thought there and not hit anybody. Alll in all its not bad but they are often out of the more popular items (baby backs, potateos, etc.).

Rudy's is one of the most consistent restaurants around; I've eaten at Rudy's is 5 or 6 different cities over the years. Sliced smoked brisket and sauce is always great; creamed corn is mandatory. I always get a piece of smoked sausage because it is SO good. Rudy's is noisy and draws a crowd every night; you order at the... More

What else is there to say about Rudy's, except it rocks. The best of the best when it comes to Texas BBQ. The staff was average, no one was going out of their way to help anyone and I stopped in three times over the week I was on Del Rio. What they lacked in service was made up in... More

Restaurants are located in Texas, Arizona, and Oklahoma; some with gas stations. The country store and restaurant are rustic but the BBQ is some of the best that we have had. You order the meats by the 1/4 or 1/2 pound. It is served on paper. The sides are also priced separately so you can have as little or as... More

The customer service is outstanding. The moist brisket is the best. The cream corn is even more delicious. The restaurant is super clean. You will definitely want to Come Back because I will for sure.

Just happened to discovered this BBQ place accidently when stopping for gas. Excellent brisket and turkey...lightly smoked but tender as butter. BUT if I had pick just one item to eat regularly and frequently it would be their green chili stew! Wish I could order it by the gallon for trip home to Alaska! Danged good!

This is your typical Rudy's. I like their barbecue, especially the sausage and the green chile stew. The staff were friendly and the food was good. It's a good place to stop if you don't want to try something new and you'd like to get tasty food quickly.

Texans love BBQ and you should be able to get some any where in Texas. So we thought. On our spring trip we stopped for gas at Rudy's in Del Rio, Texas and the BBQ smelled so good we decided to grab a bite. Unfortunately, it was cold and had absolutely no taste. We just could not eat it. Even... More

Nothing stood out about this Rudys that was good so I rated it as average. There were a few things that were negative the outside of the brisket was real salty. I usually like eating the burnt part of the brisket but this was way to salty to eat. Also the location it is behind the mall and wal mart... More
