We live in del rio and come to Manuel's quite often (mainly because it's the only nice atmosphere in del rio). I'm finally writing a review because I've had it with the mixed drinks and bar service at this restaurant. The food is typically good, depending of course on what you get, but the bar is absolutely sub par in... More

Had a very friendly server who had a good knowledge of the menu. Ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and it was very large and tasty. All the food ordered was good. Should have had a steak, they looked really good. Recommended by someone on the street as one of the best places in town. Would try again.

We were in Del Rio for a group trip; the group dinner was here, and it was good enough that we returned the next night. The food is very competent steaks and Tex-Mex. A nice variety of drinks, and the wine was fresh (in small towns in Texas, this is not guaranteed...)

This is the chile relleno of my childhood. The one abeula makes with the egg batter light as air, that gently clings to the pepper. We stopped here on a whim last year. This is now a destination of its own, when we plan our trips to far west Texas. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. The Christmas decorations were... More

Dinner at Manuel's, 17 Oct.13 was the most enjoyable dinners I've had the pleasure of arranging for my fellow Harley riders. Arriving at 6:00pm our tables were arranged and waiting making seating prompt. Our waitress Oliuia and the wait staff assisting her was very attentive with drinks, chips and salsa. Once our order was taken the meals were all served... More

My wife and I plus her parents went to Rough Canyon on the Devil's River section of Amistad Reservoir for a few days of fishing with my Mom and step-Dad. They have been spending several weeks per year there since the 80's. My wife wanted to eat Mexican food on Saturday night and this was the place that we were... More

We were told that this was the best place in Del Rio. My husband and I ordered the petite fillet medium rare. What we were served was more like a flank steak. They were about 1 inch thick with long grains of muscle with sinews, not the thick juicy, tender cut of a fillet. To make matters worse, mine was... More

I've eaten many steaks at many places, but without a doubt Manuel's has the best I've ever tasted. The salad was fresh and crisp. The honey mustard dressing was delicious! The baked potato was loaded with butter, sour cream, and cheese and was cooked perfectly. The service was very fast and very friendly. I would highly recommend Manuel's!

We were a large party and service was typical for Del Rio - slow. However, the food was good. Really enjoyed the chalupas. Everyone else was pleased with the quality and the quantity of the food.

My wife is in the Air Force based here in Del Rio and we were very excited about all the Mexican food we were going to get to eat when we got here. Unfortunately most of the Mexican in Del Rio is quantity not quality. People go for places that serve lots of food rather than great food. Manuel's is... More
