After four days in San Francisco, we had hunted high and low for authentic Italian, on the Monday of our long weekend trip we found it. We were always going to share but hadn't told the waiters, half way through they were surprised we'd swapped. After two clean plates, much less upset. As is the American way, the bill is... More

My wife and had dinner outside on a beautiful evening, and was expecting so much from what we had read. Had to wait for our reserved table as there was someone seated before us. Our waiter was less then helpful. When we would ask about a dish, his response was "very good, all of our food is very good" Well,... More

I was there for breakfeast during Labor Day week end and it was a charming experience. It was a sunny and warm Saturday morning so the weather was just perfect. We had a nice table on the small terrace giving on the street and at the time we were there (around 10:00 am) we were the only customers and the... More

The owner Guido Vicente was so friendly and accommodating. We were walking on the other side of the street and the aroma coming from the front door made us cross over and have lunch! We loved it so much we came back the next day!! True Italian family owned restaurant. make a request they will be happy to oblige. We... More

Excellent food but clearly a tourist trap. Food was very good but much too expensive for the ambience and service which is quite lacking. The wine is a very small pour with a basic chianti starting at $10 and up for anything else. If you're looking for Italian in SF, you could certainly do better.

Was recommended to go here by a local San Franciscan as wanted a lunch spot that was within 10-15 minutes walk from Fishermans Wharf. Service was fairly slow on an early Sunday lunchtime but we were in no rush and the food was great. They have a long list of lunchtime choices that all seemed good value. Lots of locals... More

We tried this restaurant today 08/31/2014 and had our lunch there. The food we ordered was horrible. We tried the Salmon Con Caponata, Petral Sole and a Breast chicken dish with lemon sauce capers....all were distasteful! We asked one busboy if he can take a quick picture of us and his response was "I am busy" and turned around. We... More

Our family loved this restaurant! The pasta was the best they ever had. I loved the arugalla salad was so flavorful. We dined outside on a chilly evening but the overhead heaters made it so comfortable.

Arrived at our North Beach apartment late. Took a stroll down the road and went into the first place we came to. A family run restaurant with excellent service. One of our party had a severe nut allergy and our waiter after consulting with the chef stated that they could not guarantee the chosen dish was not nut free but... More

Stopped in for dinner. A small wait, but they were so accommodating trying to get our party of eight seated. We sat outside, heaters running, and a bustling business. The entire staff was attentive. Vegetable calzone was large, crisp and delicious. Eggplant parmigiana was very good, as was the lasagna. The paparadelle with short rib Ragu' was amazing. Be prepared... More
