Our family loved this restaurant! The pasta was the best they ever had. I loved the arugalla salad was so flavorful. We dined outside on a chilly evening but the overhead heaters made it so comfortable.

Arrived at our North Beach apartment late. Took a stroll down the road and went into the first place we came to. A family run restaurant with excellent service. One of our party had a severe nut allergy and our waiter after consulting with the chef stated that they could not guarantee the chosen dish was not nut free but... More

Stopped in for dinner. A small wait, but they were so accommodating trying to get our party of eight seated. We sat outside, heaters running, and a bustling business. The entire staff was attentive. Vegetable calzone was large, crisp and delicious. Eggplant parmigiana was very good, as was the lasagna. The paparadelle with short rib Ragu' was amazing. Be prepared... More

A beautiful Italian inspired breakfast all freshly prepared with perfect service. Try the Budino Di Pane or Benedettina for a filling meal.

Like other reviewers, we stumbled by accident on this fantastic little Italian restaurant on our way back from Lombard street. We were seated promptly and had a delicious and simple lunch. We split an antipasto, a beet and arugula salad with goat cheese and a Margharita pizza with a couple of Peroni beers. For dessert we had homemade tiramisu and... More

Good location and the atmosphere was excellent. So comfortable and relaxing and lovely central north beach location. Staff very welcoming and you had the impression that it was a well run family business. Very much a feel that you were in a Parisienne cafe in the 1950's. Menu very good, Italian classics well done and good wine list. Good service.... More

We stumbled on this great little Italian restaurant as we wandered to the bay front from the cable car museum. It was brilliant, clean, extensive menu and quick service. With all food prepared in an open kitchen into the restaurant. Reasonably priced and friendly efficient service. Nice vibe! We ate inside even though it was sunny as there are extensive... More

My husband and I were in San Fran a couple of years ago and found this place on a walk. We were looking for a place to eat by our hotel and we chose this one. So, glad that we did. The food was wonderful, wine selection not bad for a small place. Would go back again!

Do you ever wish for a reasonably priced, amazingly tasty, homemade Italian meal? If so, this is the place. My family and I enjoyed a late lunch (lunch specials served until mid-pm) of various pastas -- tagliatelle, fettuccine, and more - with a gamut of succulent red & white sauces and my personal favorite, the ragu. Service was friendly, efficient,... More
