My family and I chose this restaurant based upon other reviews and we are so happy we ate here. We love chicken parm and ordered it here and it was so delicious that we decided to come back for a second meal before returning home. The sauce was amazing and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this... More

We stumbled upon this place and we very grateful that we did. The decor and ambiance reminded us of our trips to areas "off the beaten path" in Italy. The waiter's speech was peppered with various bits of Italian, endearing yet easily understood by all. Our food was well prepared and of good quality. They even had some house wine... More

This has turned out to be one of our favorite restaurants when visiting SF. We found it by accident the first time a couple of years ago and have returned several times since. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is very good and the price is reasonable.

had dinner there last week and really enjoyed it. My daughter's starter was more than delicious! Mussels and clams in a white sauce. Great taste! As mains we both had pasta. Taste was also very nice but the portions where way too big. After eating for a while you even didin't notice that the plate was getting emptier..... I always... More

Our visit was with friends and kids for a total of 5 , (3) adults (2) 5 year olds. The staff dealt easily with our order which consisted of 2 salads, various soft drinks, adult beverages, 2 pizzas and one fish dish. All dishes were well prepared and delivered timely and fresh by well trained concerned staff.

The Hyde/ Powell cable cars were down. We were shuttled up the hill, and let off to connect with the other cable cars. We started strolling down the street, and noticed this small Italian restaurant. It looked very inviting and the serving personal looked very professional. Not usually a pasta fan, I thought maybe a nice pizza. I was surprised... More

Great pizza place. They are not overly expensive and have a pretty good variety to pick from. The staff is super friendly and I have enjoyed every meal there so far. Great place.

Wonderful surprise! My girlfriend and I were spending the weekend in SF for her birthday. We had tickets to the Cobb Comedy, the late show, and had plenty of time for dinner. We were actually walking to a different restaurant, when we stopped in our tracks from the wonderful smell coming from this restaurant. They had nice outdoor seating with... More

Found this place because they were the only one with parking right behind the restaurant. We ordered Dungeness crab cakes as an appetizer (they were in season) and would have been happy to eat them for our whole meal. The service was very good and the homemade pasta and tiramisu were excellent. If you're in Washington Square, stop in for... More

The price - quality ratio in San Francisco was in our opinion suprisingly low. It was over 25 years since I last time visited SF and a lot have changed. In general the food is very average and the prices are high with medioca service (and expectation of 18 - 20 % service charge). Piazza Pellegrini was one exeption, the... More
