one of the best pizza in san francisco

I am an Italian living in San Francisco and, while San Francisco has among the best restaurants in the whole world, I believe that the quality of pizza is still very poor. Little Star is a great exception. The place is a little too dark and not that interesting, but the pizza is really good, the... read more

The star of the show here, at least for me, is arguably the best deep dish pizza anywhere, including Chicago. The Classic pretty much hits all the high spots, with a cornmeal-infused crust, a delicious tomato sauce that seems to pretty much consist of very high-grade tomatoes and a bit of garlic, and just the right amount of gooey, stretchy... Very small place, but the pizza and service were incredible. The plc a doesn't look very inviting, but once inside its really cool!

We take two pizzas for sharing (de thick and the thin ones). They were really tasty, I wouldn't know which to choose. Surprisingly, the salad was also really good. Maybe the place is too dark.

We googled whats the best pizza in San Francisco and Little Star came up, well I must say the pizza was great being from Chicago we didn't think that we would find pizza that we liked , we were wrong the pizza was great. The location was easy to find but on a Saturday night it was people everywhere parking... More

I went here and had the garlic bread, caprese salad and deep dish pizza with others. The bread and salad were amazing and the pizza was very good, just a bit much for me. I would recommend and go to this place again if in the area.

I ordered the cheese deep dish and the green salad. Read raving reviews and had to try it. Salad was big and heavy, good as well. The pizza wasn't anything special, they have other pies that sound good too, based off the cheese I'm OK with not trying again. Looked like the picture but overall taste was the sauce and... More

Busy, noisy, hole in the wall with a jukebox kinda place. Good selection of beers on tap and a nice wine list. Deep dish takes 30 minutes. No reservations, but you can call ahead to preorder that deep dish. Fresher, more intense flavors than Chicago deep dish. We had the Little Star and added anchovies and pesto. A large will... More

Really cool place. I love deep dish pizza. .,..and what 2000 other people said. If you like deep dish pizza you can't go wrong here. I went on a Thursday night and I didn't have to wait that long for a table even though the place was packed. Definitely will head back when I'm in SFO.

We just finished walking around Alamo park and used TripAdvisor to find a lunch spot, we totally lucked out. We ordered the thin crust Greek and were blown away, way better than expected an a surprising highlight of our trip. Later evening we were talking with a friend living in SF and he had nothing but great things to say... More
