Yummy and Friendly

I took my dad here for his first shabu shabu experience. It was a complete accident, since I was trying to take him to another place, and they were too crowded. Well, I'm glad they were. I go there at least four times a year and it never disappoints me. The personnel are friendly and efficient. You have a choice of Sukiyaki or Shabu shabu. Two of us had Shabu Shabu and two other people had Sukiyaki and we were all happy.

The waitress is absent minded, and often you have to ask for her to delivered all the missing ingredients. they do not have anything for your Ponzu sauce except garlic ( forget about the green orion) and the sesame sauce is plain.. The meat is decent marble color but really "thin" ..There is many choices in the area. I would... More

It's fun, you cook the food yourself! Pro tip - and of course plain ol' shabu shabu is mild, that's why you order the spicy version, like me. Good service, clean, tabletop cooking fun. Yay!

We were staying at the Hotel Tomo, so considered Mums Shabu Shabu there, but it was crowded and noisy, so we walked the block to this restaurant. It was very enjoyable--a comfortable noise level, the food came quickly and was of fine quality. I would go back.

Went with my sister in law here and she got the veggie shabu shabu, and they gave her a pot of water to cook it in. Unimpressed. I got the chicken sukiyaki and it was really good. The sauce was great, the chicken and veggies cooked fast and had caramellized by the time I got to my last bowl. Also,... More

We had a decent anfd rich dinner with a shabu-shabu with chicken and seafood self-prepared in an induction skillet. We enjoyed the taste but we regret to say that the addition of the billewas totally wrong,50% higher than expected. We immediately asked to correct it nad that was done with no grudge. But stillthis sour impression remains.

Stopped in for lunch during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was our first time for shabu shabu and we found it fun. We had the chicken and beef. We tried the spicy broth and regular broth. While we were full after our meal I do agree with other reviewers that they are stingy... More

Our first experience with shabu shabu, so take this review with a grain of salt. The four of us ordered two orders, both with the bonito base, which we found sorely lacking in flavor. The server brought us some miso paste and red pepper flakes, which greatly improved the flavor of the broth. We found the scallops appetizer, kimchee, and... More
