A place to discover

The menu is so original, tea leaves salad for example. Five or six different kinds of tea, one more original than the other. I tried the Dragon white tea, if I remember well. The spices exotic. All what I tried there so far was delicious and ... different. And the price? Very affordable. The staff... read more

Have eaten here several times and gave never been disappointed with the good or the service. Favorite apps are the brussel sprouts and the lotus chips. We had the mussels at this visit and were very pleased. The lamb curry and rainbow salad were on point, too. The chocolate cafe with ginger ice cream was a great way to end... More

I had an interesting experience at Bstar today. At the beginning, I was surprised by the lack of cleanness of the bar: liquid was spread where I sat and no one was disturbed by that. I ordered food but with little hope. A simple but efficient service and a very good level of quality of the food made me change... More

B Star is the sister restaurant to Burma Superstar. It has a bit smaller menu but the same high quality food and wait staff. I took my mom there and she loved the food. Everything was tasty and well presented. I recommend B Star if you want Burmese food and need to make a reservation.

My obsession with Burma Superstar is well known so I was excited when my friend suggested we try their sister restaurant for dessert. Definitely very good, not as good as Burma Superstar but very nice all the same.

Sad how a terrible waitress can ruin a potentially wonderful meal. Food was good and other staff courteous. But over all experience: horrid! I could rant for paragraphs on how many times I was offended but will spare the gorey details. Considering all the amazing choices San Francisco has to offer, I would not return to B Star.

We went to Burma Superstar restaurant nearby, but the wait would have been over an hour, so we were referred to its "sister" restaurant 2 blocks away called B Star. Never having tried Burmese food before we were intrigued. We tried one of their signature dishes, a Tea Leaf Salad, an interesting melange of greens and crunchy elements. We then... More

This is a happy & pleasant place to eat. People are really nice. Food is delicious & a very good dining experience. Great desserts, as well. Their specialty is their Green Tea Leaf Salad & love the Squash Soup. This is the sister restaurant for "Burma Super-Star", but more casual. Same owners.

I could go on and on about the things I loved about my first visit to B Star, but numbers one through ten would be the food. Simply delicious, fresh, creative, unusual, and spiced perfectly. Reason eleven is that, unlike SF restaurants in a more heavily traveled location, B Star doesn't take itself too seriously. The waitstaff are terrific, friendly,... More

Everybody seems to have heard of Burma Superstar; there's always a queue outside their tiny location, and for some inexplicable reason, people are prepared to wait an hour or more for a table there when a perfectly good Burmese cuisine place just down Clement steet. Yes, B-Star. It's a great choice for lunch, brunch or dinner. Granted, their somosa soup... More
