A really cool dining experience

We went to Burma Superstar restaurant nearby, but the wait would have been over an hour, so we were referred to its "sister" restaurant 2 blocks away called B Star. This is a happy & pleasant place to eat. People are really nice. Food is delicious & a very good dining experience. Great desserts, as well. Their specialty is their Green Tea Leaf Salad & love the Squash Soup. This is the sister restaurant for "Burma Super-Star", but more casual. Same owners.

I could go on and on about the things I loved about my first visit to B Star, but numbers one through ten would be the food. Simply delicious, fresh, creative, unusual, and spiced perfectly. Reason eleven is that, unlike SF restaurants in a more heavily traveled location, B Star doesn't take itself too seriously. The waitstaff are terrific, friendly,... More

Everybody seems to have heard of Burma Superstar; there's always a queue outside their tiny location, and for some inexplicable reason, people are prepared to wait an hour or more for a table there when a perfectly good Burmese cuisine place just down Clement steet. Yes, B-Star. It's a great choice for lunch, brunch or dinner. Granted, their somosa soup... More

We had two people recommend B Star, and it was our last dinner in and probably was one of the best. I have Pumpkin Pork Stew. I wish Florida had more diversity of restaurants like this.

B Star and B Super Star are sister restaurants that are blocks near each other. B Super Star is the one where people currently line up to get in and B Star is the one that has a Happy Hour - they are trying to bring in customers. We had the best grilled sea bass that we have had in... More

Great atmosphere as well as amazing food options. Good tasted great and definitely want to go back to try some things I haven't found elsewhere. Recommending to all my friends as we speak. Had a fun time chatting up the bartender as well ;)

I don't know if it was because I was really hungry or if because the food was really good, but I have never felt so satisfied after eating out before! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. Our server made us feel like we have been there several times before (we have not) and we were regulars.... More

B Star is one of the most delicious restaurants in San Francisco. Grab a reservation to avoid the long lines and enjoy one of the world's great cuisines: Burmese. Really? Yes, really. The food is uniformly tasty - spicy but not too hot, sort of like Thai but not quite, a blend of herbs and spices that is heavenly in... More

B Star is probably one of my favorite restaurants that I have had since I have moved to San Francisco. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is fantastic. We had Kat as our server a while ago and she was extremely friendly and attentive. If you decide to go to B Star, request Kat! She will take care... More
