Get to Liguria Bakery early before they sell out of their fresh bread. Its a must visit every time we're in The City. My favorite is the pizza sauce bread, but every other flavor is a close second. I just wish every Italian restaurant served their bread.

This place only does one thing and one thing well: Focaccia bread for $5/slab/loaf. Not your heavy, cheesy supermarket version, but light, fluffy and soaked with olive oil. We tried the onion, raisin and mushroom and they were yummy. Because of the oil, a small piece goes a long way and the oil can soak through the butcher paper if... More

I am Italian, this place is amazing!!! The owner still speaks Liguria's dialect and the focaccia is so good... gosh! I have to hate my self because while writing this review I've started salivating!!! You have to try it. It's also right in front of a good place for breakfast and right in the North beach area (which is the... More

Unique foccacia, with a line out the door. If they don't have the one you want, pick another because they're all good.

It is a bakery and not a resturant. You dont sit there. We arrived around 13:00 and the only thing that left was a cold pizza without cheese which was not good at all. The old lady was not so pleasent and the pizza smelled like her perfume (because she wrapped the pizza with her hands!!). To conclude, totally OVER... More

You just have to come here just to see it, little family run operation, 2 people out the front wrapping up Focacia in paper and string, while out the back you can see everyone else hard at it baking. Just made me feel like part of the neighbourhood being able to pop in with the usual crowd to get my... More

Liguria Bakery makes fresh focaccia and only focaccia. There are no decorations, except for an old scale and cash register in the window. This bakery is focused solely on just one delicious product, though you can choose from about half a dozen vegetarian toppings (never any meat or cheese). This old-time bakery across from Washington Square Park in North Beach... More

FYI. People are arriving in numbers but it's shut tight right now. This place looks great, but they are closed. We will try it next time I guess.

Its a bakery that we had a lot of recommendations and it's simply poor, it only sells focaccia and some cookies, the focaccia is good but nothing else, and the service is terrible, the lady and her daughter were kind of rude and impacient with the clients. I wouldn't expect a lot from this bakery, it's really old and abandoned.
