I only came here because of the rating in tripadvisor, I guess I would have not stopped at this place even if would had walking by...the place doesnt look like a bakery with welcoming food in the window. But what a mistake would it have been not stopping here. I had a pizza focaccia. I dont remember that I ever... More

Every time we are in SF we make it a point to get some Liguria Bakery focaccia as its truly the best SF has to offer. I suggest you get there early as today they were almost sold out by 11am. They only had raisin, pizza, and jalapeño which we really liked although the garlic and onion are the family... More

This bread is so good it needs no extra. Just get the plain. That's what you came for! It also makes it easier to tear off pieces as you walk. I read a review that said ask for it in a paper bag. I'm a grown man but had I read that before going I might still be reluctant to... More

Life changing... And I truly mean it! I cant believe its taken me this long to write a review on this hidden only known to the locals kinda gem. Visited San Fran for my birthday back in April of 2013 and while being a foodie at heart I had to do some digging and ask the locals what they recommend... More

This bakery makes one thing and only one thing - Focaccia and does it so well, they don't need to do anything else. A variety of flavors and they are all scrumptious.

I liked the Liguria bakery. The foccacia with raisins and cinamon was conveniently packed in a small brown paper bag to allow for grazing over the course of the day. Ask for it in this pack if you intend to eat and walk. Selection is all high quality and if you are in need of a jolt of Southern Italy... More

I discovered this bakery when I moved to SF in the early '80s. It was because I would go to Mario's (Bohemian Cigar Store) and drool over their foccaccia sandwiches; one day I learned that the bread came from the austere bakery across the park. Then I started going there instead of Mario's. I can easily eat a slab of... More

Arrive early and bring cash to purchase the best focaccia of your life. She sells out frequently before the end of the day and requires cash, but this no-frills shop knows what it does best and sells only that. They have about eight to ten different foccacia flavors. The jalapeño cheddar is delicious. I am contemplating how I can get... More

Growing up in North Beach, I miss the days when Liguria's foccacia bread was 35 cents for a rectangular slab (seemed bigger as a kid). The good news is there are now more flavors/ toppings. But the traditional pizza (tomato) and onion foccacia are my favorites. During Christmas, I brought packages of fresh foccacia to the workplace. Nothing like freshly... More
