The vegan seitan sandwich was AMAZING! I never knew that a sandwich could taste so good. I would eat that every day for the rest of my life if I could, haha. My friend's meal was also delicious and even the sides (we got tortilla soup and mac n cheese) were totally delicious. Huge servings too. Cheers

A great restaurant, especially if you are vegan or gluten intolerant. It's kind of hard to see so you may just walk right by it if you're not paying attention. The food was delicious (seitan w/ buffalo sauce & vegan ranch, fish & shrimp tacos, spicy tortilla soup) and the service was very good. Be prepared to wait as they... More

Recommended by a friend this unassuming quirky placein the heart of the Mission is a real find and one I will return to. The menu is made up of everything from tacos, beans & rice dishes, shrimp and different fish varieties - something there for everyone. They can make most dishes gluten free and offer vegan subsititutions. I had a... More

I was visiting Sanfrancisco for a weekend and only had a short time to explore. We were recommended this place as great places for veggies. The place was amazing, small and cosy inside with really quirky interior playing great music, there was a nice relaxed atmosphere and I loved it as soon as I walked in! Even better was the... More

This place was perfect for me, the vegan, and my family, the fish-loving non-vegans. The fried pickles were an awesome appetizer. The vegan dessert we got (chocolate coconut cake) was AWESOME! It was so great that I walked down a few nights later and picked up a different flavor (vegan cheesecake, equally as awesome). If I'm ever back in SF,... More

Very accommodating, professional and friendly staff which added to a great dining experience. Place was filled and we still felt like we were their only customers. A table was not available when we first walked in so we were offered to sit at their tiny bar at the back. A small speaker playing music (a tad loud) was also right... More

Weird fish is a great casual restaurant in the Mission that has avoided becoming part of the unappealing scene that is Valencia Street. They make multiple versions of many items on their menu and at least one version is vegan. The seitan wings, vegan fish fry and all of the sandwiches I've tried are excellent. The restaurant is on a... More

We really enjoyed our meal here. It's small and a bit of a hole in the wall. They do some great vegan spins on (mainly fried) pub and bar classics. I was really looking forward to the fried pickles - delicious, but I would've preferred them thin sliced rather than whole pickles. The seitan 'buffalo wings' were excellent, as was... More
