Very delicious food! My brother and I was looking for some sushi in San Francisco, which got us to Nara Sushi. At our time in San Francisco we stayed at hotel hilton, and we didn't want to eat on the hotel. So we decided to eat on Nara Sushi, which was our best decision ever. Fantastic service, and fantastic food!... More

We had a nice mix of dishes, the fish is fresh and plentiful -representing generous portions. Sushimi combo, two rolls -spicy salmon and 'cherry blossom' with seaweed and cucumber salad -a nice, fresh meal!

Really a good experience! my girlfriend and I eat in this restaurant, good service, really fresh salmon and tuna, and generous portion of food. A good deal for a sushi in the heart of San Francisco.

Ryoko's was my go-to for sushi in the Lower Nob, but that may have all changed with the discovery of Nara. Unlike Ryoko's, you can get a seat in a blink, even at 8pm on a Friday night. I wrote my name on the host's white board in the front of the restaurant behind 3 other people, but two seats... More

We found Nara Sushi on Trip Advisor and were so happy with the food and the hours that we went there several times during our stay in SF. Our first visit was later in the evening after arriving at our hotel from the airport. Other visits for lunch. Portions are very generous, the fish is fresh, the service is friendly... More

We went to Nara with a 17month old baby and the staff were very accomodating (highchair was provided). Food was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Small bottle of Asahi is very worth it's value of $3.95. Ambience is great! Server was very friendly. The dinner specials are a good deal! U can choose 2 ($9.95) or 3 ($12.95) dishes accompanied with a bowl of miso soup and rice an salad.

We happened to be in the neighborhood of Nara and saw its sign, "Happy Hour--Sushi $1." So, we thought this was too good to be true. But it was true. So, what was the catch? Nothing! Great sushi, newly prepared, at only $1.00 each. And the sake was only $2.00. Now, that;s a happy hour that can make anyone happy.

We stopped here on the way back to our hotel and didn't have very high hopes based on the interior decor... boy were we wrong to have judged it before tasting the food. Our meal was great and possibly the best Japanese I've ever eaten. On top of that it was really inexpensive for the food we got. If I... More

If we're talking value, Nara definitely deserves four stars. No, the service isn't amazing (not bad, but not the friendliest of people ever) and the space isn't trendy at all, but the sushi's solid and the pricing is incredibly competitive. The majority of the rolls we get are under $10 (usually between $8 - $10), they're fresh and pretty good-sized... More
