Listen to the counter help. My preference leans to chocolate, so I got 3 mini-scoops chocolates, salted caramel and the orange sherbet. The orange sherbet was out of this world - as recommended by the server. I waited in line about 10 minutes midday on a weekday.

Despite a lot of customers, staffs are always smiling and helpful. You can taste the ice cream before buying it. You can choose between scoop and the 3 types of cone. I had a sugar cone with green tea ice cream in a kids size and it tastes soooooo good.

Salted Caramel!! Salted Caramel!! Salted Caramel!! Totally worth waiting in line for this amazing ice cream!! Miss it very much since I moved from SF... I also tried other different flavors that were usually awesome, but salted caramel is the best by far!!

The "Dainty Gentleman" was the suggestion of the bearded man wielding the ice cream scoop - insanely delicious!

Only in San Francisco have I seen so many lines for people waiting to buy Ice cream and other treats even when the weather isn't hot! We were lucky to be staying near the Bi-Rite Creamery and Bakeshop so we could stop by and sample their great ice cream when ever we wanted during our trip. They are also almost... More

They have a nice selection of unconventional flavours, which makes it more than just another ice cream shop. I chose the green tea flavoured ice cream, and it was very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice atmosphere. PS, they don't have WiFi.

The line is very organized and there are signs asking patrons to be considerate and, basically, please watch the noise level and don't block the sidewalk! I think this is great on their part, especially since I know what it's like to live on a crowded, busy street. I figure the less complaints Bi-Rite gets about their customers, the longer... More

The salted caramel ice cream is to die for - spectacular combination of flavor, sweet and salty and rich as any ice cream I have ever had.

Let me begin by saying that I spent almost a year learning how to make ice cream and can turn out a mean batch myself. Bi-Rite ice cream is both creamy and intensely flavored, it even looks different than other ice creams. There is a reason that there is always a line outside this place. Every other salted caramel ice... More

First time trying this place. Lucked out in finding a parking space directly in front of the shop. Selected different flavored ice cream for 4 persons. All flavors were exceptionally tasty. Texture were creamy and smooth. Very small sit down area so you are better off taking it out. Line was short and fast moving. Would recommend their ice cream.
