Intense flavors, excellent texture. Great experience. This is a place that you need to experience. Make an effort to get to Bi-Rite.

they're fast and(usually) friendly... and you can watch people go for the guiness record on how many scoops of ice cream can one pile on a cone... and with flavors like balsamic strawberry, white chocolate raspberry swirl, salted caramel, honey lavender, brown sugar with ginger caramel swirl, banana fudge ripple, coffee toffee, ricanelas(cinnamon with snickerdoodle cookie pieces) or one of... Probably my favorite ice cream boutique in the US (and I've tried many). The salted caramel is my favorite. I'm amazed at how they can come up with such unique concoctions. Expect a long line on weekends or after-office hours.

First time visitor to this shop and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with several samples including combos that the staff loved. They have some very original flavors:Honey-Lavender, Basil, Roasted Banana etc. They also have more common flavors: Cookies and Cream, Choc Chip Mint etc. I tried the White Choc Raspberry and Pink Pearl Apple and they were great.... Yes, it's a very good ice cream shop, but most dedicated ice cream shops are. The specialty flavors are the unique draw. If you want to go, avoid warm days on weekends or after work when every person hanging out at Dolores Park gets in line for a cone. I don't think it's good enough to warrant waiting a half... More

We made it our mission to try as many of the ice cream parlors in SF as we could. Bi-rite was the best. They have interesting flavors and delicious ice cream. My son and husband loved the banana split, which has caramelized bananas. My other son and I preferred a cup with 2 scoops to try as many flavors as... More

Fantastic little shop. everything you can possibly need jam packed, nicely, into a neighborhood shop. They even have samples on the weekend. Grab a bottle of wine and a sandwich from Bi-Rite and spend the afternoon in Dolores Park. Sounds like heaven? It is!

What is there to say about this place other than, WOW! Best pastries I have ever had and its right in the heart of historic San Fransisco. Nothing more to say other than you HAVE to try this place if you are in town!

We had read about Bi-Rite, but the glowing reviews still could not communicate just how amazing the ice cream is. Without a doubt, the best ice cream we've ever had --- and we've had a lot. The Dainty Gentleman sundae is an amazing combination of flavors -- unlike anything you have ever had. The salty caramel and the cinnamon with... More
