We went to the Bi Rite recently opened on Divisadero St. Considering ourselves ice cream afficionados we asked to taste the salted caramel ice cream. Sadly we are forever spoiled. Nothing we have close to home compares.A perfect blend of sweet, salty, creamy rich, perfect texture sent us to ice cream heaven. Don't bother seeking out others in S.F. You... More

Best ice cream in the world. By a pint and you don't have to stand in the long line. Try the peanut butter fudge swirl.

People have mention the salted caramel, and I have to follow suit with this recommendation. I was in town on a gorgeous (and hot) Friday afternono, so the line was not long, and the ice cream was just right. My friend got one of the all-fruit popsicles, and those were fantastic as well. You've got to stop by here if... More

Well worth seeking out this place to wander round and marvel at choice in such a small place. Amazing chesse counter, fresh veg, flowers and meats.

Best salted caramel ice cream - delicious & subtle burnt caramel flavor... We visited this shop specifically for this & it did not disappoint. I was warned abt the long queues. We went on a Monday night at about 8pm and there was only a very short queue (waited less than 5 mins) - so perhaps visiting on a weeknight... More

Drool! Great flavors... we tried balsamic strawberry, banana split, chocolate coconut (vegan), salted caramel, rincanelas. We went on a Sunday afternoon and probably waited 30 minutes - the line wraps around the street! Great to walk to Dolores park and enjoy the ice cream and people watch.

On any average day some sort of line is sure to form outside this creamery. And for good reason. Bi-Rite has some of the creamiest ice cream I have had (outside of gelato). Flavors vary from standard vanilla and chocolate to more gourmet, brown sugar with ginger caramel swirl and hazelnut with dandelion chocolate's cocoa nibs. My personal favorite was... More

Minutes (if not more) waiting to be able to finally order, and then... Lots of seemingly unique flavors, with special names (and very high prices), but in truth really nothing above the ordinary. If this place were to open in any city in Italy, such Florence or Rome, it would end passing totally unnoticed and would have to close in... More

Different and unique ice cream flavors. From Monday till Thursday the shop is not so crowed, so I recommend to go during those days to avoid long queues and taste all the flavors you want before decide which one you really want to eat. Don't be afraid during the weekend, the service is fast. I miss eating these ice creams.... More

There is a new Bi-Rite store opened recently on Divisadero Street. the is out the door for ice cream. Quality food is what you'll find and the parking is so so.
