Good ice cream

Bi-Rite has been recommended to me on multiple occasions. It is certainly good and offers very creative flavors. I love that they offer the ice cream sandwich option, using fresh cookies. The sugar cones are great as well. The lines can be long, but it is what it is.

Wow. Amazing. If you like ice cream you must go here. The trifecta was SO good. The meyer lemon with ginger snaps is a bit of heaven. I am dying to go back.

This is our second time in SF and our 2nd time at Bi-Rite. The few problems with this place is 1) that they close at 9pm, 2) there's no place to sit, and 3) that it's impossible to choose a flavor! You will NOT be disappointed! Worth the trip!

We were told about this spot by our host at the B&B we stayed in. It just to happened to be the spot that just the day before we saw a long line of people standing out in front of the store and I couldn't figure out why. Well, it's the ice cream; and understandably so. We went on a... More

What a great selection of exotic flavors! This is a "must-do" any time we're in San Francisco! It's amazing that folks line up, even when it's dark and cold outside -- but that is indicative of how yummy their ice cream is.

this is a local place and one where travelers like my Family and I felt welcomed and glad that we went here. A local told us about this place and it was a good recommendation. We also went to Ghiradelli for Ice Cream but it was so corporate and this had such a nice local flair. TRUST me -- worthwhile

I waited in line for over an hour on a hot day for the ice cream. I had high expectations due to the great reviews from the internet. However, I was totally disappointed. The ice cream was just average. Seating was extremely limited.

I heard a lot of hype even from locals so I tried it one day with my roommate. We had been hanging out at Dolores Park and decided to try it out. The wait was really long and the staff was okay but the ice cream was amazing! I believe I had the white chocolate raspberry and salted caramel which... More

Had the salted caramel which was outstanding. Avoid the line by going to the outside takeout window and get a pint to go. Climb up to the top of the park across the street and enjoy your ice cream with the city view.

There's a reason the lines are often long here: some of the best ice cream you've ever had and excellent friendly service. Part of the reason the lines are long? Rude, selfish customers who want to try eight flavors before they settle on one. Come on, noobs! Be nice, thoughtful and choose quickly. The salted caramel is great, roasted banana... More

From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners.
