Breaks the rules

Rule #1. Never go into a joint with no one in it. We've been in numerous times and usually the only. They put us by the window. Everything we've ordered was great. Especially liked the Tom Yum soup. The coconut base soup wasn't as good. We always order the big bowl of soup (enough for 4... read more

After arriving at the Coventry Motor Inn from the airport around 3:15 PM, checking in and unpacking, the five of us were hungry having skipped lunch on the airplane. By the time we left the hotel it was around 4:00 PM and we were looking for a restaurant. Just as we left the motor inn and hadn’t walked more than... More

As title, green curry is a must have dish! And crispy wonton is delicious too! But pad thai is different as we expected! Noodles is rice noodles instead of thinker one, and flavor is a bit too sweat for us! We have been to Bangkok, Thailand, and food tested is same as we had Thai good in Taiwan and we... More

The service was good and the girl working was nice. The starter (mixed tempura) was boring and the curry was okey. But the pad tai was so sweet. We could not take more than one bite. We had the idea they added a bowl of maple syrup.

We returned here because we had such a wonderful meal last time we were here a year ago. Ordered the exact same things, Panang curry chicken, jasmine rice, Spicy Pan Fried noodles (mild) and Grilled Indian Bread. The whole thing was very disappointing. Grilled Indian bread now was deep-fried and so greasy it was disgusting. The Penang curry chicken had... More

The only woman working barely spoke English and while the food was okay, at a peak dinner time, we were the only ones in the restaurant. She sat us in the window to make it look like someone was in the restaurant. The food was okay but nothing I would do again.

Having eaten Thai food widely including throughout Sth East Asia I can say that the Green Chicken Curry (one of the yardsticks against which I measure Thai restaurants) was the best I can remember eating. Loved it! The venue is very clean and tidy, nicely decorated in a low key manner but it was the good service and outstanding food... More

The food is the star here. This is a little, modest neighborhood place that happens to have excellent food, well-priced. If you are looking for a fancy setting then you will be disappointed. If you are looking for great Thai food then you've found the place. The Panang Chicken and Yellow Curry Chicken were among the best we've had. Order... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
