Good custard pie

No line when I was there but it was late in the day and they didn't have much left. I bought a couple of little custard pies. No idea what is in them. They were warm and delicious. Only one of my kids was brave enough to try it. They had a bite of mine then wolfed the other one... read more

We were seeking out bakeries in Chinatown that sold bean bread which we had enjoyed all over China when we were there, we chanced apon this place as it had a substantial queue of locals lined up outside the entrance. Though they had no bean bread the locals were all buying trays of goodies that had evidently just come out... More

My kids got in line for 20-30 minutes and came out with a delicious box of 3 types of bakery. The egg custard, the one this restaurant is famous for, was so good when it was consumed right away. It lost its crunch the next day but was still good.

This is the place to go for pastries in Chinatown. Prices are a bit higher than other places and expect a long line outside. Their egg tarts and BBQ pork buns are excellent. Call ahead first to see if they are open. They are known to take long vacations and will close the store for weeks.

Not a proficient connoisseur in Chinese baked goods, I really had no idea why people were waiting in a long line outside the bakery. What I do know is that if there is a line, mostly Chinese people, then it must be good. So, we hopped in line. We spoke to people in line and they said to get the... More

This hidden gem is a must! A small establishment which can be found by locating the line down the side walk where the customers anxiously wait as the properittor cracks open the door to take your order . The egg custard tarts and coconut macaroons are a must!

There was a long line so I thought the bakery must be really good. It was okay, not worth the wait. It is kind of pricey too. Nothing extraordinary.

Go for the egg tarts, once you have one you will be hooked. The thing that pisses me off about this business is the amount of time they are closed. There is even a comical FaceBook page about it but those egg tarts, I had to give them 5 stars.

We got some BBQ pork buns and they were great. We even took some home on the plane with us. It's a very busy bakery right on Broadway, so it's easy to find.

There's always a line here. I'm not an egg tart connoisseur so the quality is lost on me. They tasted good tho
