Waited forever, Feijoada was awesome

went with a big group. Waited about an hour for an order of Feijoada, Brazilian staple black bean stew. It was really, really good. Waitress gave me a free drink in apology for the wait.

This restaurant is closed. I went on may 6 and unfortunately found out that the restaurant closed about two weeks before.

Nice Brazilian restaurant. Not all options are truly Brazilian (the rice, for example, is certainly not). But the Brazilian cheese bread is authentic, as it is the little dishes like coxinha. The staff was very friendly, also. Overall, nice experience.

Five of us had an early dinner in August. We had appetizers, drinks, main course and shared a dessert. Service was a little slow but not obnoxiously so. We enjoyed all the food we were served. It was fresh, well-prepared and nicely plated. We had the Raindrop donuts for dessert and highly recommend them. The donuts were still warm and... More

We dropped in for tapas and really enjoyed the casual atmosphere and tasty food. The menu looked interesting - we meant to go back for a meal but didn't make it - on the list for next time!

My wife and I stoppe by here after dinner to enjoy a lounge type atmosphere with a litte activity. We enjoyed each of the rooms and the live music Saturday night - great dj as well. The spot was small but fun and the food was ok but just as appetizers. I would not recommend eating a full meal here... More

We seeked this place out after reading the reviews on it. It isn't a obvious building, so we passed it a couple times. We order a bunch of tapas, and two entrees. Overall the food seemed to be just average, there was really nothing that I would rave about except for the aioli that came with one of the sides.... More

Mixed feelings. On one hand it was one of the best lamb I have ever eaten. On another hand this "main course" was size of appetizer. It is deceiving when you order relatively expensive dish and realize that in order to get full you must order it at least 2-3 times. Come on, don't pretend that lamb is some rare... More

I went to this restaurant with a friend after we attended a matinee at the Orpheum Theater. They opened at 5 and we were the first at a table. A lovely Parisian waitress served us water and our menus. We started with a traditional Brazilian drink, calpirinha. Yummy and happy hour priced! We had fried plantains with lime dip while... More

This place kind of sneaks up on you because you would never know it was there unless you were looking for it. We had a table of six people, which was kind of cramped, and they seemed to be having trouble adjusting for temperature (by opening the door, then the window, then shutting the door, and so on). Apart from... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
