A HOLE IN THE WALL!

New Year's Day and we found ourselves on Geary St trying to find somewhere to eat. Katanaya caught our eyes however we were not prepared for what's following. This takeout/dine in is like a mouse palour, soooo teeny, weeny and stuffed with diners! One has to put one's name plus the number of diners... read more

I have had ramen in Asia, and this was great ramen. You have a choice of miso, soy or salt for your spice and the choice of other add-ons. I had the BBQ Pork ramen and added a hard boiled egg. It was as good as anything I had in Asia. This was my family's first time with real ramen-... More

Some of the ramen choices here are kind of interesting - kara-age in ramen? OK sure. Anyways, we both had miso ramen, which struck me as overly oily when I started eating, but did grow on me. Overall, decent ramen, but the broth especially could be improved on. Noodles were good.

Perfect place to run into off hours (when there's no crazy waiting list) on a cool damp rainy day for yummy spicy or crazy spicy ramen bowls. I went for the extra gyozu which added perfectly. Hit the spot.

Got the ramen for dinner. The food was pretty good and decently priced. Service was not too bad. The queues were long (there was a wait list) but a bit confusing as to how long each person had to wait so it was quite messy outside the shop. But still a good place for dinner and would recommend

We went on a weekday night, I was surprised there was no wait based on previous reviews. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was very good. The ramen with pork, chicken and gyoza was amazing.

After a very short wait we were seated at a table. The menu was vast and the service was good. Importantly, the food was excellent.

The spicy beef ramen was great!! It's a small place but it was worth it.. Will def eat again. FYI, one bowl can feed two people. My fiancé and I order individual bowls along w some sushi rolls and it was a lot! Great Ramen!

Small place with small tables. Mostly for couples and singles. Service is always with a smile even though the stuff don't speak English so well. Ordered vegeterian ramen that was hot and great. When its cold outside it is even tastier. As an appetiser I took a seeweed salad that was freshy and tasty. All n all got change from... More

This place serves good ramen. We enjoyed the experience but very crowded on a Friday night and had to wait outside in the cold for about 30 minutes.
