I'd heard that Crab House was a great place for seafood in San Francisco. It certainly is - if you like crab. It was a busy place even on this rainy cold weeknight in San Francisco when nearly every restaurant and tourist shop along the piers around Fisherman's Wharf had maybe one or two customers at most. The staff was... More

My wife and ate here during the second week of November 2014. It was dungeness crab season and there were stories on local TV about how good the season was this year. So we decided to get some crab. It was a mistake. If you are going to call yourself the Crab House it stands to reason that you should... More

We had the lunch set menu, crab chowder, a bottle of wine. Though it costs more, the atmosphere is fantastic. This place is on my to-eat list whenever we come to SFO.

I was hesitant to try the Crab House due to our rule while vacationing, no chains and no tourist traps. Reviews were mixed too. I was very pleased with our choice. Only waited about 15 mins for a table and it was crowded. They know how to manage the crowds/tables. I went for the crab and it was the best... More

Beautiful place with a nice bay view. Must try crap chowder as a starter. The portions are really big and the prices are reasonable....

it's not a tourist trap! While the location of the wharf may lead you to believe that it's just another tourist trap, the crab is very good. I can't comment on their other dishes, but who would go the Crab House and order anything else?

This was recommended by one of our friends and we are glad we came. The first time we came during lunch on a weekend it was packed and we felt a it bit rush by staff to hurry up to eat and vacate the table for the next person. We order fried shrimp w/fries, fish sandwich, pound of crabs, and... More

If you are in San Francisco and looking for good Dungeness Crabs, look no further. This is the place for superb meals with whole, part, or any kind of crab meat. We ordered the crab and Shrimp combination and if I go back I will skip the shrimp and get just the whole crabs. The shrimp is not peeled at... More

We were here for lunch after visiting pier 39, and we came back the next day to have the amazing linguine with garlic crab meat once again! Just awsome! The chowder was also very tasty so don't miss it! Definitely recommend it!
