Thanksgiving at the Fillmore

7 of us got together for a 2pm Thanksgiving dinner. The menu was a price fix, 3 course, with 3 options per course. While they offered traditional Thanksgiving grub, you could sense by the rest of the offerings that the turkey seemed like an obligation. Don't get me wrong, the food was great, along... read more

Recently visited for a business dinner - we had drinks at the bar before our meal (great advice from bartender on cocktails). Food and service were fantastic. The cost was good value but not great. Will return when I'm next in town again.

Great food. Outstanding service. The owner also just opened a BBQ restaurant across the street which is worth a visit.

Recently visiting San Francisco from Toronto Canada and was taken here for Sunday gospel brunch. Look no further this is the place to be. The restaurant has large windows with tables nicely spaced so you are not able to the others at the next table. During the meal there is a band playing that provides a celebratory atmosphere and the... More

I ordered a steak which was good…my appetizer was huge, way too big for a starter. Title was Shrimp Avocado Toast. It was a tiny smear of gaucamole with dehydrated (smelly) shrimp on a giant piece of toast with some dressed greens on top, I ate the greens only. Not sure who likes dehydrated shrimp?? My husband had to try... More

Creative comfort food? Is that possible? Most definitely at 1300 Filmore. Executive chef Jacob Whitlock has brought a creative touch to a number of traditional low country cuisine dishes. Our party of four sampled a number of the appetizers -- none of which disappointed. My wife had the pork chop, which was amazingly tender and bursting with flavor. I went... More

We are both from the New Orleans Area, and greatly appreciate the foods from the Deep South, and New Orleans. We are also in San Francisco every month, and maybe more often, so are constantly looking for new restaurants. Because of the cuisine, we were anxious to dine at 1300 Filmore. The venue is nice, with some lovely archival photos... More

I've been craving good creole cooking for some time now and found what I was looking for at 1300 on Fillmore. I had a delicious barbecue shrimp over grits, which seems to be one of their standard plates. I followed that with banana cream pie. Both were very satisfying. I dined comfortably in the lounge but service was slower than... More

This place is incredible and a testament to the American dream being realized. The owner / executive chef is from the UK and created one of the most elegant restaurants in San Francisco.... The ambiance is very romantic, the food is fresh and the drink selection is amazing. To top that off, you'll often find a live band in the... More

If you are looking for good ole creole food, then you will have to try 1300 Fillmore! Not only is the food Devine, but the atmosphere is euphoric. We started with a few drinks and apps. The freshwater shrimp hush puppies were so good I could have had another as my entree! Shrimps were FRESH the batter had a nice... More
