Food was very yummy!!! Small portions, and a bit on the pricey side, but very good. Service was excellent. We started with the cheese tray, very good. I had black cod, which was cooked to perfection!

If you walk to this restaurant and you don't know The Mission, you might be a little scared, 16th and Mission is not the best place to be at night. But once you get to the restaurant it's a whole other world. There's seating at the front of the restaurant and patio seating in the back. The zucchini flowers are... More

Only had 2 nites in San Francisco, and BarBambino was our chosen destination to take guests. We were a group of 6, had a fabulous long table right in the window. The food was delicious. the wine was fabulous and the service was terrific ! All in all, it was a really perfect evening/dining experience and I would absolutely recommend... More

Everything I ate here was amazing. Although a little on the expensive side, the food was excquisite. I had the boar and radicchio salad. This was delicate and delightful. The quality of the olive oil used was superb. The Ravioli with ricotta, artichoke and bacon was excellent. Really enjoyed eating here and wished I had enough time to go back.... More

We recently spent 10 days in San Francisco - a foodie paradise - and Bar Bambino had easily the most interesting menu and wine list of the restaurants we patronised.Highlights were the charcuterie plates with homemade pickles, fresh ceci beans fried with paprika salt, ricotta-stuffed squash flowers, house cured salmon, several excellent and unusual pasta dishes and a Viennese-style bollito... nice place, good service. food is ok, but really small portions. almost feels like a snack rather than a dinner plate.

Great food, well selected ingredients. Lots of olive oils, cured meats and cheeses. Service used to be really bad here, but the last time everyone was super nice and helpful.

Very nice food, fresh and well presented. By the glass wine not a good way to go. We ordered two glasses and received tiny pours of over oxygenated wine for $12 each. Ouch. Waitress was sorry the wine wasn't well stored but no credit. Soups are great. Lunch for two with 3 glasses of wine and tip $106.00

I'm the sister that went to Bar Bambino for her birthday. It was a great way to celebrate the first day of the last year of my 30's. First of all the food was awesome. They have a simple menu making it quick and easy to choose from. The wine list is a little more complicated since it's all Italian... More
