Went on the recommendation of our hotel's concierge. She hit the nail on the head. We were a little weary when we went in because it looks more hipster than traditional Italian. From our first bite of food we were convinced they know Italian cooking! The soups are amazing and the eggplant parm appetizer is superb. The waitstaff is very... More

Delicious Italian food for all ages. The service was outstanding. My 10 yr old daughter was a little disappointed with Gnocchi and we asked if she could get small plate of spaghetti instead. The waiter did so immediately without any additional charge. This restaurant and its employees were delightful!

We discovered this on yelp and were very impressed by the service, menu, and hand made gelato and other mouth watering desserts. The gorgonzola gnocchi reminded of Pisa, Italy. Great location in North Beach, right across from City Lights Bookstore, so grab some Italian and catch up on the Beatnik history of the neighborhood

We stopped here after we walked out of another restaurant as it was a little snobby for us and none of us could find anything on the menu. So we stopped in here. I have to admit a great place and the staff was so amazing. I had the carpaccio and the cheese ravioli and both were really good! I... More

My, oh my! This happened to our second choice for Dine About Town and we had decided to go to Isa instead. But my friend decided to celebrate her birthday here the night before. And I'm happy to say that I was able to try it out. It would have been a shame if I had left SF without getting... More

My husband and I were looking for an Italian Restaurant for Valentine's day and our Anniversary. It was our first time at E Tutto Qua! We loved it. All the wait staff were friendly and service was excellent. The food was delicious! My husband had the scallop appetizer and I had the rigatoni with porcini mushrooms and sausage. Both were... More

We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meal and service here! We had checked out the menu prior to the reservation (made by friends) and were on the fence about the place. The homemade pasta was fantastic and our large group was accommodated extremely well by the waiters. We only wished we could have gone back again... More

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
