I attended a business dinner here and was very impressed with the food. We were a group of about 15 seated in a private dining room with a view over he bustling kitchen. As a self confessed foodie and cook, it was exciting for me to watch the kitchen busy at work. Food was fresh, tasty and inventive! Definitely a... More

A very good italien / international kitchen. Manageable menu with some special foodcombinations. I can recommend that place.

I've been here a few times, most recently on a dinner date during the week, so it was on the earlier side. I've found the room to be loud in the past, but this time it was not, probably because not crowded. The food is consistently good, as is the wine selection. If you want Italian food in the financial... More

We discovered Perbacco on our last trip to San Francisco last week, and it is definitely a keeper in my repertoire of San Francisco restaurants! Service is impeccable, the ambiance is very nice and formal, which I appreciate in a world that tends more and more towards informality: nothing like a white crisp tablecloth and good service! We had the... More

When it comes to Italian food, I'm a bit of a snob because I want the dishes to have the same flavors that I enjoyed so much while traveling in Italy. There, one often finds simple dishes with fantastic ingredients that should be easy to duplicate, but often fall short in the U.S. Perbacco was our choice for a wedding... More

Visited for Christmas Eve and was impressed. Décor and service are good, but the star here is the food. Heartily recommend the salumi appetizer and the risotto. Both were excellent. My guests enjoyed the fruit salad, seared octopus, and the tajarin and pappardelle pastas, but panned the burrata cheese/squash appetizer. Overall impression was of a well run restaurant serving excellent... More

My college daughter and I are from Healdsburg, CA and it's darn hard to beat our food and wine. On our first night in San Francisco, on a long weekend getaway, we arranged for dinner at Perbacco and were not disappointed. Seated promptly and graciously, our server explained any questions. Everything as it should be. We left well satisfied, except... More

We have eaten at Perbacco several times and the food has always been good, and sometimes excellent. I would suggest sticking to the "starters" and the pastas. Salads are good, but not great. Entrees can range from OK to excellent. But the pastas are consistently excellent. Wine list is very good and there are some excellent California whites and reds.... More

We decided to forego entrees this night and went with 5 different small plates. Started with a Burratta cheese salad that was wonderful then we embarked on Risotto with La Tur cheese. It was heavenly. We then had 2 different pasta dishes with slow cooked ragus. Don't miss the short rib papperedelle ....... The best. Wine corkage was reasonable and... More

We had an excellent meal at Perbacco! Seated at the bar, we made friends with those on either side of us - wonderful, regular clientele who shared their opinions and thoughts with us. The wine steward was wonderful and allowed us to taste several before choosing a bottle. We had several appetizers -- my choice was always the most colorful... More
