Don't love it for drinks. Bar is too small unless you get there before 5. Food is exceptional though and decor is nice without being pretentious.
Met here for a business lunch. The staff were very attentive and the service was quick and friendly. They made great recommendations which we took on board and did not regret. It was also their burgundy week and the wine recommended and paired with our delicious foodwas an excellent choice. I will definitely be back.
I took a client here for dinner and we had a great time. It had a very hip vibe. The food was delicious. We had some oysters, rib eyes cooked perfectly, and phenomenal sticky pudding dessert. A really terrific evening.
Interesting, eclectic menu with good fish and meat choices, many choices with an ethnic twist -- Morrocan-style lamb, monkfish in an Asian, curry sauce, etc. Arctic Char sashimi appetizer was a standout, as was the banana toffee dessert. Super knowledgeable and helpful waiter added to the experience.
The menu is eclectic, the ingredients carefully chosen, and the wine list is just superb. The waitstaff are attentive and extremely knowledgeable and intuitive as to what you want and need. The food was just outstanding. All in all, Salt House made for a truly pleasurable meal.
Had dinner here during our last night in San Francisco and it was a perfect ending to a magnificent week! We walked in and had dinner at the bar. We started with cocktails and the roasted nuts....highly recommended, sweet, spicy and WARM. We shared the Beet Salad which was beautifully presented and equally delicious. This was followed by the Trout... More
This restaurant serves mostly fresh entrees using quality ingredients and interesting pairings. They have a great appetizer menu and wine list. The menu is limited for vegetarians but there are plenty of sea food options if these are included in your dietary needs. The setting is informal and the restaurant is close to the financial district and Moscone center.
Went here for a business dinner and the staff were pushing the Poutine - a dish comprised of chips (Irish style) , gravy and cheese curds. Given the recommendation, I was expecting a modernist take on simple fare Having ordered it, I got exactly what it said on the tin - chips and gravy. I got what I deserved but... More
