Lovely experience

I love ordering a variety of small plates. The variety is impressive. Everything was nicely presented and tasty!

Staying at the Hotel Carlton, we had to try out its signature restaurant and we were glad to be able to get a table without a reservation. The dimly lit interior is well decorated, if a little cramped, although there's not a great deal of ambience beyond the chatter of your fellow diners. The service staff were warm and welcoming,... We had the most delicious meal at this restaurant which could handle vegetarian/gluten free requirements with ease. Amazing multi layered tastes in each dish, non of which overpowered the others. We still think fondly of the stuffed Beetroot.

Loved everything we ordered. Very pretty restaurant and lovely atmosphere. We had a great waiter who was attentive and knowledgable. The vegan desserts were also great.

Went here twice, because he first time was so good. Its great that its inside of the Hotel Carlton but is the type of place everybody goes to. We had the hummus dip sampler , I had a fillo wrapped seasonal veggie dish that was fantastic and my guest had the baked chicken. Great wine selection as well. Easy to... More

You have to take into account you are in San Francisco, but otherwise its not typical to find a restaurant in America where food so much greater than the interior. Very good arabic food restaurant: falafel and lamb where delicious, but others said duck was as great. Dishes are medium (European) size, so don't be afraid to take the starter... More

And I've traveled widely in 2015. Two of us had several small plates and shared them. The Salmon Baklava is unforgettable, an unusual combination that works perfectly. The mushroom ravioli was superb and the Lobster Knaffe (I think that's what it was) was a small almost ethereal tower, pieces of lobster hidden within. The menu is described as Yemeni Arab... More

We stayed at Hotel Carlton and did not expect much from the restaurant in the hotel but we were positively surprised when we had dinner there the last night. Delicious food and very friendly and service minded staff. You have to make reservations for a table in advance but we were lucky to get seats by the bar even thou... More

We tried this restaurant because we were staying in the hotel (Hotel Carlton) and we were so hungry that first night. It is open a little late but not very, so we were able to sneak in and get served before they stopped serving. The room was well decorated, giving the feel as though you were in the Middle East.... My wife and I ate dinner at Saha on Oct 7. We had selected Saha because of its interesting menu and had no idea what to expect. This became our favorite stop from a week of dining in the San Francisco area. It may not be much to look at from the outside but the quality of the food and... More
