A foodie friend & colleague had recommended Americano to me when I asked her about a centrally located lunch spot, quiet enough for a working get-together, and with good food. This restaurant inside Hotel Vitale got it all right. The location is great - it's hidden from the Market and Ferry Building tourist drag yet right there, a block away... More

The Americano Restaurant was a perfect location for our family dinner. We love San Francisco and always enjoy trying different restaurants during the holidays, especially Christmas. The Americano proved to be an excellent choice for our family of six. The menu at Christmas was pri fix with options ranging from an incredible shrimp dish to a fantastic creamy risotto. Each... Visited for breakfast (so don't know how lunch/dinner would be), but the food was prepared very well, nice portions, and fairly good service. The chicken and applewood sausage was great. Breakfast for 2 (coffee and omelets) ran almost $50, so pricy even for San Fran.

if you like college keg bars that basically toss you out at 11:45 pm then go here. they let you order a drink at 11:43 and then throw you out at 11:45. bad karma and not sophisticated behavior whatsoever. highly disappointing and i was a guest in the hotel.

We stumbled across this place while looking for a place that served late (around 10:30). The food was good, although the service was a little slow in the beginning.

Service was great with friendly staff. Waitress recommended a few dishes for being a first time visitor and they were all great!

The menu was varied, but it was difficult to get in on Friday night. Make reservations ahead of time. Breakfast was a little pricey.

We ate here accidentally as the restaurant a friend had recommended was closed. We were delighted by great customer service by our server and the food was flavorful and great tasting. When we came out (the location of restaurant is overlooking the bay bridge), it was around 8 o clock and the lights on the bay bridge started to twinkle... More

The Americano is inside the Hotel Vitale. The location is great, the interior has plenty of light, and the food is very good. I would recommend this place for lunch.

The first thing I noticed walking in the door was how nice the hostess was-welcoming me warmly and making sure I got the seat I wanted. I had a spinach omelette with potatoes. They were delicious and a lot more than I was expecting. It was on the expensive side: T.A. needs to add a another dollar sign to it's... More
