To me fish means fish and shellfish is something else. I do not eat shellfish. So I would eat fish.. daily fish special was scallops. No fish on the menu. We had the best lobster rolls here. It's always consistent. Their oysters are great, especially on Tuesdays when they have them on special for $1 per oyster! Their fish and chips are good. We go here quite regularly.

If you dine here on a Tuesday, take advantage of the $1 oyster special. After that, try the fish and chips, artichoke dish, shrimp sandwich or whatever is recommended by the waitstaff. They serve excellent food here!

I randomly popped into Woodhouse yesterday and had a nice experience. Nothing Earth-shattering, but I would definitely return. I visited another restaurant a few days earlier that did not have dungeness crab so I was very happy that they had it at Woodhouse. I had a bowl of clam chowder that was just ok - it definitely lacked the flavor... More

Great neighbourhood restaurant, with great food, seafood was fresh and plates were very generous; however service very patronising when complained about the fish and chips´ lack of flavour.

On my eternal hunt for excellent fish & chips, I had read about this place. Tucked away at Church and Market Streets, it's a tiny place, but don't let the size fool you. In fact, if you have to wait for a table, it is WORTH the wait! The service is attentive and friendly. And then there is the fish... More

Came for oysters and left content. Small selection, but fresh and delicious. Oyster Po Boy, fish and chips were really mouth watering good. Clam chowder may be a concern for lactose intolerance. Hipster, local ambiance with attentive service. Reasonable prices.

Amazing fresh fish served with style and grace. Attentive service in a small and cozy restaurant close to wholefoods in the Castro. A Absolute treat for fish lovers. Creative menu for the adventurous

We loved the city, but the real reason to visit is the food!! Just remembering makes me want to go back. I love seafood and being in San Francisco is all I eat.. I liked other restaurants but now Woodhouse is my number one favorite. WE went to both locations and my daughter asked for the Sandwich, she was the... More

We visited San Francisco with our two teenage daughter and looked for a fish restaurant. By chance we ended up at Woodhouse Fish Company on Market Street and what a great surprise. It is a small but cozy restaurant. We managed to get a table right away. We ordered different dishes including one of the specials and they were all... More
