This is your typical hole in the wall place that has the most amazing food you can expect. We were expecting a little fancy restaurant when looking at the menu and the prices but not at all. The food was amazing, so we didn't care about the scenery.

This is a very, very small, tight and crampy restaurant serving up big, flavorful dishes. The pan seared halibut was one of the best we have had anywhere in a long time. We are seafood connoisseurs (in the seafood industry) and it takes a really great dish, cooked properly and served at the right temperature, along with other factors that... More

The food was incredible but the tight space is a bit of a nightmare especially if seated next to a loud party, as we were. But the service staff was friendly, albeit slow..but we would go with friends and/or a bigger party the next time. Not a place for romance but great for a night out!

Had a wonderful time at Woodhouse. This was a family favorite; after all of the hype, I decided to try it out. Food was wonderful and yummy, but a little pricey; can't complain as we're in the city of San Francisco. Delicious food, down to earth service and quite a wine selection! The restaurant itself has an oddly shaped interior,... More

Just looking for an out-of-the- mainstream seafood place. Went to lunch here. Very small, quaint location. Well worth it! Will go again if we are out this way again.

My wife and I went there for lunch after driving around SF. It's a great place to have some fresh oysters and have a beer in a warm day! After the oysters, she had the cioppino, a typical fish from California, and I had the crab cake. The fish was fabulous! Unfortunately, my crab cake, was just OK. Not bad,... More

We actually chose this place to eat the "in season" crab based on other reviews but we found it to be lacking the quality that we expected. The crab pasta dish was bitter and bland, nothing to write home about. I originally ordered the crab roll but instead received the lobster roll. I rolled with the punches and accepted that... More

Was recommended so we jumped in a cab to try it out and we were so glad we did! I will dream about the lobster rolls and clam chowder --- the best ever! This is a tiny tiny out of the way clean restaurant, no ambiance, no atmosphere, just great food!

After a fast and full on day exploring San Francisco, this restaurant is a treasure not to be missed from our first greeting to the final goodbye our experience was flawless. We chose the special which was swordfish with seasonal veg. We found food to be of exceptional value. Staff are most friendly & helpful. Would be a must do... More

As a native New Englander, I am always skeptical of lobster served outside of New England. Lobster rolls invite even more scrutiny. Woodhouse Fish Company's lobster rolls are fabulous! Perfectly buttered toasted hot dog buns, just enough mayo- not Kraft' s Miracle Whip! sacre bleu!!-and celery to dress the sweet fresh lobster yummy!
