Laid back and delicious

I actually was turned on to this restaurant by "Check Please - Bay Area", and decided to take some out of town relatives for a meal. The relatives are from Portland, Oregon, so are accustomed to fresh fish. This was not a disappointment! All 5 of us loved it! Great Fish n Chips, oysters that... read more

If you are looking for a lunch type menu (tuna melts, crab rolls etc.) you'll do just fine here. Nothing extraordinary but nothing bad either. Only disappointment was the MacDonald's type fries -- skinny and obviously frozen.

Crabs were not in season but still the house was packed. Smallish menu, out of some items, but liked what we ordered. Sat at the counter. Nice time.

We just happened upon this spot in the late afternoon -- I had a lobster roll (3 oz.) and my friend a softshell crab blt - we finished every morsel. The french fries were thin and crispy, just the way I like them!

Great service- arrived without a reservation and were promptly seated - which was more luck than anything else as it was busy. Shared two entrees with my party of 4 which was adequate. The fish not chips was good value however I found the batter a little thick for my palate but that it is a personal preference being used... More

This was our last night and i love seafood. We went here as it is on Fillmore, close to our rental. I craved the Lobster roll but oddly that was the item we ordered I liked the least. We loved the staff...down to earth, helpful and laid back normal. We ordered Asparagus, Crab cakes and the Lobster. The asparagus was... More

First of all, you have to know that the restaurant is very small and very popular. When you arrive you write your name on the blackboard or ask for it and you wait. Waiting is part of the game and you will have time to see dishes. I don't want to speak about the Cioppino! It makes my mouth water.... More

My family is constantly on some food quest. In the past, we have looked for the best burger (from the perspective of burger, bun and cheese...not a gourmet burger, per se). Our most recent quest has been to find the best lobster roll in the area. Woodhouse doesn't disappoint. Quality roll with your choice of mayo or naked. Excellent french... More

Went there from a friends recommendation. Small but very cool place more of a lunch place than a evening out place. I highly recommend it and city prices are very reasonable.

We found this restaurant because it was on the way to the airport, well, sort of. First time, I had the flakiest and lightest fish and chips. The fish was so good. It was so light, the crust was like air. The second time we went, I had the crab salad and I couldn't find the lettuce. The crab was... More
