Delicious food/cool ambience - must try!

My boyfriend and I went to Nopa the morning after 4th of July without reservations. I had called the week before but all reservations were full, so we opted to try the walk-up waitlist. When we showed up at 10:30 AM, there was already a line out the door! Always a good sign that people are lining... read more

We visited SF recently and we were on the look out for some good dining. We luckily happened to be staying near Nopa, and read many excellent reviews on it and how hard it was to get into. On our last night we walked down to see if we could get in, we had tried on the online booking system... More

With the long wait for fussy cocktails, the almost-pretentious atmosphere, and the expensive menu, I want to not like this place. However, I cannot help but love it. The food is very good, and the cocktails - though I hate to say it - are worth the wait. Staff is moderately friendly and helpful, but somehow the atmosphere still makes... More

Large two story space. We sat upstairs which is quieter and allows gazing at the hectic scene below. Great variations in the classic negroni with at least six versions. We tried two both of which were excellent. Well curated wine list with plenty if half bottle choices. Grilled calamari appetizer as well as duck egg were good. Smoked trout was... More

This is one of the more memorable and delicious restaurants where I have been. However, my pork chop was extremely undercooked. The waiter took it back and they threw it on the grill longer. Also, they forgot to bring one of our appetizers. Despite these mistakes, everything was delicious.

Went here on my last night of a 2 week holiday in the U.S. Wasn't disappointed. Helpful, friendly staff, tasty food and good atmosphere. We didn't book ahead but got there about five and put our names down and then got a table just after 6.

this restaurant ticks all the boxes: the atmosphere, the interior, the food, the people. the food was a great mix of mediterranean and comfort food, wine menu was awesome too and the service was truly great, with attention to every detail. the food was high quality and the waitress was mega attentive and really lovely. go there without thinking twice.

top notch servers, great (small) menu of interesting combinations, executed perfectly. We had local anchovies en soar (w/vinegar marinade) on house dense rye, halibut w/spring peas & pesto, and duck breast. But the KILLER was the dessert: panna cotta with candied olives (!!!), figs & apricots. amazing. plus wine, blue bottle espressos and port. a great meal, but pricey ($250).

Creative, highest quality yet delicious food menu, wonderful selection of wines, buzzing atmosphere, polite and efficient service, at prices that can be afforded by those not on a corporate credit card. Highly recommended.
