My son and I had a very tasty meal at the joiner's table Sat. midnight. We''d just landed @ SFO a coupla hours earlier and were looking for a late-night dinner. Nopa was packed, but we got seated immediately when we walked in. It turned out that our server was from the East Coast and very helpful and welcoming. The... More

I was told that "Nopa" stood for "No Parking". One person told me they spent a half an hour looking for parking in the area one night. We got lucky, found a spot after only a couple of minutes. I didn't see this on the website when I booked the reservation, but you can park in the DMV lot at... More

Contemporary American food where dependence on vegetables and olive oil in cooking is apparent and tasty. Very good food and reasonable rates. The only negative point is the location which lacks enough parking space with no Valet service.

Hipster trap serving mediocre food. Service was appalling. Just avoid - you can do so much better in SF.

My husband and I heard about this place and just stopped by around 7:30pm on a Saturday night. They were booked until 9:30pm, so they put our name on a waiting list and took our phone number. We had drinks by the bar, then headed out to another bar to wait. We were called around 8:30pm and given a table... More

Had breakfast and was blown away. Old friends met and thiroughly enjoyed the food. Service was great, but the food... Oh my. Try the french toast. Or the goat cheese custard. How about the bloody marys with scotch or mescal. Wow! Can't wait to go back.

But won't forget... The food was impeccable. The wine too... Except that they kept forgetting to bring the suite for the flights we ordered with our dinner. It was very weird. They were completely disorganized and it was unpleasant. But we have tasted amongst the best cuisine ever: simple stuff such as "Avocado Toast, Pickled Jalapeño, Capers and Mezzo Secco"... More

My experience of Nopa doesn't resonate with some of the less positive reviews. We booked ahead, we're warmly welcomed on arrival and were allocated a table on the mezzanine which was comfortable, had plenty of space and from which you could enjoy views of the whole restaurant and kitchen. Our server was friendly, helpful and made sure we didn't over... More

Overall my wife and I enjoyed decent food, but nothing to write home about. I ended up with farro with a poached duck egg on top and my wife had salmon. For the price of the items, I expected things to be a little bit better. The one saving grace was the Manhattan I ordered, which was fantastic. I will... More

As the other reviews state Nopa is an above average restaurant. It has a very loyal clientele and it is one of the few upscale restaurants on Divisidero. The downside if you are the slightest bit claustrophobic is the noise and vacuum packed sardine atmosphere, especially in the bar area. If you are into being seen by your hip friends.... More
