Great Spot for a Solo Meal or Group Dinner

I had just landed at SFO - I had hours to kill before meeting up with my fiance, and I was starving. I took the BART toward Union Square where our hotel was, and pulled up Yelp! which led me right to Colibri. Thank goodness it did, I had a great time! It was a little past lunch time and... read more

Had to go again when we stayed in San Francisco - this place was just delicious. Have a snack if you have to wait at the bar. Tuna was amazing - pulled chicken and pork appetizer to die for. Guacomole made to order as per degree of hotness. Wine list great - Cocktails great. Service great. Not your usual Mexican... More

Ordered the chicken with.....get this....chocolate in the sauce......guess what, it was excellent. First choice on the regular entree menu. Worth a try for something good and excellent. Right across the street from Geary Theater.

I've been here 3x now and it has never disappointed. Ceviche was a large and wonderful portion - the empanadas to die for. Duck mole verde pipian excellent. The only drawback here is the place can get a bit loud - there was a large party (4 tables pushed together) next to us in the back room - so it... More

The concierge at my hotel recommended this place. Good atmosphere. I sat at the bar and was well taken care of there. Had the Filet Mignon. It was delicious but expensive. All in all, a pleasant experience and I would go back.

A friend we were travelling with recommended this restaurant - he had tried it on a previous trip and wanted to go back. The food is really quite good - it's fresh and has lots of flavour. Service was friendly and fast.

Nice place with somthing different than the usual taco and tortilla. Even though the food was amazing the prices were just too high compared to relatively inexpencive ingrediences.

There was nothing about the food or service that left me wanting to eat here again. When you order guacamole and there's an additional charge for chips, it's not a good sign. The service was ok, but we often had lots of dirty dishes on the table needing to be cleared. We had intended to order frozen margaritas, but they... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a long day of site seeing in San Fran. It is close to Union Square, so very conveniently located. The food is like a fancy mexican. Don't expect chips and salsa, they hand make their own soft corn tortillas and serve with a variety of sauces from mild to spicy. It was a different... More
