Classy Mexican food in a place that knows Mexican food!

Beautiful food, slightly more formal but still a chilled vibe, and a really interesting menu that will work for everyone. Try the carnitas (beautiful meats) and also one of the cocktails - top stuff!

I ate dinner alone at Colibri recently. It was recommended by a friend as it was close to my hotel. I had the guacamole and ceviche. I was asked whether I wanted extra tostaditas which I assumed I needed, but both plates arrived with a heap of them! Both plates were enough for 3 people to share, so obviously I... More

Nice atmosphere - the staff was super nice and friendly. The corn tortillas are tasty and the carnitas were fantastic. The margaritas were just right, too. A tad pricey, but it is downtown San Fran, and I'll be back again!

On our first of five nights in San Francisco we found Colibri practically next to our very budget accommodation. And what a find! Kicked off with a margarita and generous bowl of guacamole. Yum. Delicious bottle of Rioja (we are never very good at being completely budget) and excellent and interesting mains. Nice atmosphere. Who knew there were so many... More

Went here for brunch on Saturday, and had some out-of-this-world chilaquiles. Their fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice and tequila cocktail was fantastic.

Homemade tortillas, super warm and delicious. Talk about super awesome margaritas! Loved them! We had the pork and it was served hot and very tasty.

Wow! Was not as happy with tortilla soup nor the thickness of the chips. Great service even though it was super busy. Would return for drinks for sure!

This restaurant is a must-go if you are around that area in San Francisco. The bar tender was funny and very helpful... the drinks were awesome. The food however, could be better, their tortilla soup is not really that great though their small plates for happy hour are OK. I would recommend this restaurant more for the experience, environment, and... More

We made reservations, just I recommend, and had some great appetizers with our friends! If I'm in the area again, I'd go back!

Had to go again when we stayed in San Francisco - this place was just delicious. Have a snack if you have to wait at the bar. Tuna was amazing - pulled chicken and pork appetizer to die for. Guacomole made to order as per degree of hotness. Wine list great - Cocktails great. Service great. Not your usual Mexican... More
