Best Tortilla Soup!

Absolutely the best tortilla soup that I've ever had outside of Mexico. Amazingly deep flavor, and had all the components you'd dream of... queso fresco, avocado, cheese, tortilla chips... Delicious! I must say... the service was also impeccable. A perfect dining experience really.

Spent the evening here today with some lovely Sanfran friends. The food came super quickly and the staff were really helpful. The whole experience felt authentic. The cocktails looked good too with a lovely cocktail mixer who was a woman with a lovely smile. The corn tortillas were amazing, as was the guac. Recommended and very vibey.

Near Union Square, this restaurant is well located...and well priced. We enjoyed tortillas--fresh and handmade--with three kinds of salsa. The mango pineapple salsa was the best! For dinner we had carnitas with rice and filet mignon with spinach mashed potatoes. Also, a side of black beans. Each bite was an explosion of flavor. I highly recommend this for a tasty... More

Happened to stop by here with a couple of coworkers for dinner. At 6:30 on Wednesday they were pretty full but we're kind enough to find us a table. Great service. Waiter quote prompt and even worked to get us the name of an interesting video playing on one of the TVs. The food was excellent and the beef cheeks... More

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant, its more like Mexican tapas, the portions of food are just right, and the have plates from all of Mexico, not just your usual northern food. I recommend this place when in the mood to eat Mexican food but do not want to feel like you over ate......................

We stayed at a nearby hotel a few years ago and found Colibri by chance. Love that we did as we now make it a required stop whenever we visit SF. We hang out at the bar, drink their house margaritas, order the guacamole, some ceviche and save room for sip a shot or two of whatever tequila the bartender... More

The restaurant was recommended by the Concierge at the Marriott I stayed in. I am going to tip him 20 bucks the next time I see him!! This place is a good find! The restaurant is small and very popular. I couldnt get a reservation but did a walk up and the girl put my name down and said to... More

Being Australian my experience of Mexican food has been pretty blah, however the meal at Colibri has completely changed my opinion of this cuisine. Fresh, interesting ingredients, tasty flavours, served in a stylish environment. Pity we don't have a Colibri here in Melbourne !

This Restuarant was close the the hotel we stayed at. We walked in twice. Once for dinner and once late after a concert. Both times we ate at the bar. Service was excellent and the food great. Savory but not over spiced. Dos Equis original on draft. Good margaritas. If they have it, try the Ceviche -- superb. We thoroughly... More
