Food is really something special with some unique dishes. Loved the carnitas, empanadas and tamales. Great friendly service and so convenient to the Curran. You can linger over coffee and hop across the street 10 minutes before the curtain goes up! Will surely go back. One minor gripe is paying $2 extra for chips to go with the guacamole.

This is a great restaurant to go to before a show at 1 of the 2 theaters across the street. Super fine margaritas. The tableside handmade guacamole is fantastic and the fresh tortillas that are served in lieu of chips are perfect. A bit noisy but hey, its sure popular!

In a neighborhood where breakfast for a couple can set you back $55, Colibri managed to serve the best meal I had in San Francisco and do it at a reasonable price. I'm a big fan of chilles relleno and these, stuffed with carnitas, were the best I have had hands down. If I have to find something to criticize,... More

Mexican like very few places I've ever experienced. From the white corn, soft tortillas to the roasted chicken entree, this place was different than most Mexican restaurants. The guacamole is a must have appetizer. My dietary restrictions were handled with zero issues and I really enjoyed the roasted chicken entree.

We were staying just up the street at Hotel Monaco and received a recommendation for this place. It was so good we went back twice. Guacamole was fantastic, and all the other dishes we tried were fresh and tasty. Service was friendly and helpful

Stayed in San Fran for 5 nights and came here for 3 of them. We had different things every night and all dishes and desserts were simply amazing. Would definitely recommend

Went with friends here - awesome sangria, great guacamole and delicious food, compounded with a friendly and attentive staff. Just that simple. Oh and yes - reasonable.

It's across the street from the Curran Theater. Perfect for nights when you're seeing a performance. Huge tequila selection. Interesting sauces and salsas served with warm small tortillas--yummy. Love their guacamole. Good for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. A favorite "go to" spot when need a timely, delicious meal before theater.

After seeing a play at SHN we were able to get a table for dinner. We were seated very quickly and our drink order was immediately taken. While they don't have an extensive menu they have many meals to choose from. I had the June special, short rib enchiladas. These were delicious. Excellent taste and a very nice portion size... More
