Best High-End Mexican Food in SF

The restaurant was recommended by the Concierge at the Marriott I stayed in. I am going to tip him 20 bucks the next time I see him!! This place is a good find! The restaurant is small and very popular. I couldnt get a reservation but did a walk up and the girl put my name down and said to... read more

Being Australian my experience of Mexican food has been pretty blah, however the meal at Colibri has completely changed my opinion of this cuisine. Fresh, interesting ingredients, tasty flavours, served in a stylish environment. Pity we don't have a Colibri here in Melbourne !

This Restuarant was close the the hotel we stayed at. We walked in twice. Once for dinner and once late after a concert. Both times we ate at the bar. Service was excellent and the food great. Savory but not over spiced. Dos Equis original on draft. Good margaritas. If they have it, try the Ceviche -- superb. We thoroughly... More

The food was delicious and the guacamole was prepared right in front of you, customized to your taste preferences! They had a huge selection of margaritas! I'd definitely go there again!

I just popped in here to have a quick bite, but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Sat in the bar and had a glass of wine and ordered a small portion of chicken. The food was simply delicious. Great service, great environment and great food.

The menu is definitely different than your typical Mexican restaurant but it was such a pleasant surprise. Our meals were fantastic! We had the guacamole, fish tacos, prawns and fillet. Delicious! The Margaritas were tasty too. I like more alcohol in my drinks but for most they would be perfect. : )

geeeeez, where should I start? I was hungover and absolutely nothing sounded appetizing unless it was my moms pozole. So then we were told to go to Colibri to have some revitalizing Micheladas. These micheladas turned out to be amazing, they are made with their own home made blend of tomato juice and other veggies. Then the pozole arrived, which... More

found this as it was near hotel and loved it. Very good use of flavors and tasty food. Price was right, they seated us quickly on a busy Saturday night, staff were friendly and attentive. We had the little tacos and sopes, the home made tortillas are amazing. We would go back.

We had a great meal here, and it was both reasonable in cost, and fast on service. We were seated in the bar area, but that was fine. Would definately come again!

The salsa and tortillas were good but the rest of the food was ok. There aren't a lot of tables in the restaurant. Lunch will run you over $20!!
