A great stop.

Off the cable car and this was the first placed we stopped. Great service with amazing speed from food order to delivery, the only criticism was that speediness didn't allow for must conversation or time to soak up the atmosphere which was great. Great food and great service well worth a stop.

While Fisherman's Wharf is crowded with tacky tourist spots and bad food, there are still some good finds. Capurro's is one of them. Very fresh and well prepared seafood and freshly made pasta are some of the highlights. The staff is friendly and the place has an old school San Francisco vibe to it. It's an especially good spot during... More

Cappurro's: the quality of food good the service a 1 star. Wandering the Fishermans Wharf for lunch, we stumbled on this restaurant mainly because I was in search for a Lobster Roll. We were greeted and seated. Our waiter Gonzales Wener took our drink orders as we checked out the menu. My husband wanted 1/2 dozen oysters on the half... More

Maybe it was the night itself and they had been extremely busy, but our 4th July dinner after the fireworks was average at best. I had a seafood saute which was mixed seafood in a tasteless sauce and my partners surf and turf was ok. Maybe they had just been too busy but I was expecting more flavour and care... More

The steamed fish platter was rather good, with fresh mussles and shrimps. My wife took the "hot sea food platter" but that was certainly not worth the price because of the cheap ingredients: fried calamares, crab-cake (ok-ish) and fried (again) shrimps. Wouldn't go there again

We visited Capurro's our first night at the wharf after arriving into San Francisco in the evening following a long drive as our hotel, the Argonaut, was directly opposite. The service was friendly but not particularly attentive (we didn't bother staying for dessert as nobody seemed particularly interested in serving us after our mains were delivered) and the food was... When we arrived at this place on a Tuesday night and it was 2/3 empty, I should have known something was amiss and turned around and walked out. My motto about restaurants is "by their bread shall you know them". When we were given a basket of at best mediocre bread, I knew the food would be bad. How they... More

Enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and beer and snacks off the bar menu during Happy Hour and everything was good. Steak tacos with a touch of onion and fresh cilantro were our favorite.

Having just landed in SFO from ATL we headed to Lombard St to show our kids the area. After touring around we decided to park and walk around Fisherman's Wharf. Getting hungry, the smells of nearby Capurro's got us in the door. Seated quickly we ordered a few Blue Moons, different entries like the hot seafood pit, jumbo shrimp, pizza... More

Cool place, pretty good food. The only reason I gave it 4-stars instead of 5 was because the service seemed disproportionately slow based on the number of people in the restaurant. Food was definitely good though.
