Clam chowder was like from a Campbell can, but without the salt. Yak. 'Fresh' salmon was dry and hard, most probably had been frozen. That is not fresh to me! I did expect much more from a 'seafood' restaurant (especially on Fisherman's Wharf).

We were here for a late dinner on a Sunday evening. We shared an order of seabass from the evening special menu - it was fabulous - one of the best seafood meals we had while traveling. Without us asking, the kitchen split our meal when plating it so we didn't have to hassle with trying to split it up... More

We were received and seated very nicely - and that was it. When we asked for two more minutes to decide, the waiter never came back and we had to call him. Then we ordered our food, and they were out of mussels - its a seafood retaurant and one third of the menu contains mussels. It took them 45... More

The title of this review pretty much says it all. we ordered shrimps (small and tasteless) and crab cocktail (shredded and small) and mixed seafood (not bad, not great). The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is lousy and while the atmosphere on the busy street is nice, you ultimately will leave somewhat hungry and feeling like you've been... More

On vacation in San Francisco with my wife we came across this restaurant. Menu looked good, so in we went. Ordered 2 Stella's, Stella had run out, not a good start. These things happen not to worry, I ordered mac and cheese and my wife ordered mussels. The mac and cheese had been microwaved, my wife's mussels were good. Then... More

My husband and I were at the pier this past Saturday night after a long day of sightseeing and were surprised on how early other restaurants were closing on the waterfront. We ventured in and decided to be seated as we were running out of options of places to eat. We had a very polite and informative waiter. Not sure... More

We (wife, son, myself) ate a late dinner here one night on our recent vacation to San Francisco. A Thursday night about 9:00 and the place was still fairly crowded (unlike a couple of other places nearby that were already closing). Our son had a burger and fries, my wife shrimp fetticuine, and I had a combo platter of shrimp,... More

I have been here twice. Both times I had the Woodfire roasted crab. The service was good. The bread was non stop, which is a plus since we love our bread and butter. I had the mixed green salad. It was served before my Crab meal. Since the crab is served by itself, I would have preferred to have it... More

This was our favourite bar during our 3 days stay at the Wharf. Just a couple of minutes from the Holiday Inn and directly opposite the Argonaut. A good drink stop to get out of the heat, that was my excuse anyway - they were showing the World Cup games! Loved the decor, fishing rods and pictures of big catches.... More

Ate here with our family after sight-seeing. One thing I noticed was that the restaurant was pretty empty. We were here at lunch time on a Saturday. The crab sandwich was ok. It has quite a bit of shell in it, so I spent a lot of time spitting out pieces of shell. We also had crab cakes and they... More
