Good chowder but a bit expensive !

This was our first meal in San Francisco and we had to try the clam chowder ! It proved to be a good choice and it was excellent ! We took a bottle of white wine for the 4 of us and the bill was over $60 . Service was fast and friendly and we ate outside ! A good... read more

Food not good, overpriced for what you get. Waitress forgot appetizer. Bread was stale. Pizza was burned and tasteless, so was the red snapper special

Seriously the service was excellent, the waiters were very patient whit us and they gave us suggestions on what to eat. The food was excellent we had crab, oysters and lobster Benedictin. Looking for seafood in this town isn't hard, but finding GOOD seafood is different. The food here was really good. Dungeonous crab cocktail, clam chowder and a small CA mussel sausage pizza were all good. Restaurant is old and smells it. Server barely spoke English so getting questions answered was difficult at best. Coin toss here.

We came across this place after eating dinner at the restaurant across the street. I had the dungeness crab sandwich and it was delicious. Waiter was very good and knowledgeable of the local fish and what was in season. I would have no problem going back to Capurro's. It is not a tourist trap as some in the area are.

This was our last meal in San Francisco and the jumbo shrimp cocktail and sea bass were excellent. The atmosphere was very relaxing and having Anthony as our server was the best.

We were there for vacation. It was our last night and the restaurant was across the street from our hotel. We got Anthony as our server. He was extremely helpful with food choices. We had the sea bass. It was fantastic. Yes you pay for it...but it was worth it. Nice and relaxing meal and a great way to end... More

The restaurant serves a wide variety of food for all appetites. Clean, good service and food, but as with all other restaurants on Fisherman's wharf, it is expensive.
