Great food and Drink

Very good food. Not the usual Mexican food everyone else has. Menu is a little confusing but the servers were helpful. Six people in our party and everyone loved their food. Drinks were very good as well.

OK so I haven't actually had much Mexican food in Mexico itself, but out of everywhere else I've tried on the planet, this is hands down the best I've ever had. Offering interesting twists on standard dishes, I eventually plumped for the beer-battered mahi-mahi fish tacos, which were sensational. I was eating them as slowly as I could because I... More

I come here about once a year when I am in S.F. Love this place, but I always go early before it gets too crowded and loud. Servers are friendly and very efficient. They make really good margaritas. The tuna tacos are delicious.

We were on the lookout for a good Mexican restaurant on our second night in San Francisco and decided to go for Mamacita. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken enchiladas and really liked the look of their fish tacos as well. Their churros were probably the best I've tried so far. Would definitely recommend it!

I'm always on the lookout for good, fresh Mexican food and on our latest trip to San Francisco I had picked Mamacita's to check out. We walked there from Fisherman's Wharf, which I really don't recommend because it took us almost 45 minutes. But was so, so worth it. We arrived about 15 minutes before they opened their doors at... The purpose of our visit was a family gathering. We sat at a high table in front of the bar. First of all, we could not hear each other without speaking very loudly. I missed most of the conversations at the other end, so I finally gave up trying and decided to focus on my food which I found at... More

Food is good, service is hit or miss, however most of the time it's been a good hit for me and my fellow diners. Being a local and in the neighborhood I enjoy dropping in from time to time. Since it's often loud inside, I prefer a table outside under the heaters or when it's a rare warm SF night.... More

Upon entering, was greeted by a charming hostess, and seated in the rear of the restaurant in a booth, seating our four couples. The cocktail waitress, came by for our drink orders, and I ordered a pomegranate tequila. This was great tasting, and we proceeded to order guacamole with tortilla chips. Many Mexican restaurants offer tortilla chips along with a... More

Fun little restaurant! Food was great! Tacos are really good (especially the fish), the ceviche and guac is really good too. Portions are good and pricing is fairly decent.

You will be surprised at the crowds in this place. I was recommended to this place by a Mexican fellow who told me they have the very best burritos in town. These guys have huge reputation and do some good food, fast. Don't expect luxuries, I dare say it's lower standard than your average McDonald's environment, but people take away,... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
