It had a great selection of off the wall Mexican items, like goat or scampi tacos. Don't get me wrong, great atmosphere and great food but if you are looking for tex-mex or more authentic Mexican this is not your restaurant.

The ambiance, the food, the drinks... Everything was just perfect! It was one of the best -if not the best- Mexican food that I have ever tried. The margaritas are just amazing and the food really fresh and nice. You just be aware of the noise in the restaurant! I would definitely go back !

Went here for dinner, recommended by the hotel concierge, not that impressive. After reviewing their web site, I was really excited about going. When we first looked at the menu to get a drink, lots of wines from around the world, really? Could not find a great selection in the heart of California wine country? Also in the age of... More

We were greeted by the most pleasant hostess, served by the most pleasant server and the food was excellent. Our server was very helpful in making sure we ordered the proper amount of food for our table of 4. It was mainly served tapas style in that the chef prepared 4 servings so we could share everything. Very enjoyable evening.

I am no authority on authentic Mexican food but I really enjoyed this place. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively. They had an excellent selection of tequilas and mescals. Would definitely recommend stopping in if get the chance.

Mexican, not in the Mission, great?!? Yup. Food is tasty, service was attentive without being intrusive. Good selection of both Tequila and Mezcal, and great mixed cocktails as well. I won't claim to know enough about authenticity to make a definitive statement. Be prepared to wait as its popular, I don't know if you can wait at the bar. At... More

The dishes are delicious and they offer a wide range of options, they even have an alternative vegetarian menu!!!. Just make sure to ask the waitress about it, if you are into vegan-vegetarian food. Prices are OK and the service is fast. My only complaint would be that I found the place a little noisy (to much people talking loudly).

With no reservations and tired from a long day of tourist activities, Mamacitas was a welcome and delicious respite. Chestnut street is quaint but hip with a low key vibe. Before 6 pm was happy hour with 25% off certain drinks including very delicious Margaritas. Menu had a lot of variations. We were seated without a problem (it was 5:15,... More

When my husband and I visit San Francisco, we love to stay in the Marina District and we always look forward to eating at Mamacita. We love this place so much that we try to find AirBnb accomodations that are close in proximity :) I've had some average dishes at Mamacita so I definitely think it depends what you order,... More
