My family went to Bar Tartine last week. Although one of our sons loved it, my husband and I found it pretentious. Several of the dishes' flavors were too intense. The service was okay, nothing great, if not inattentive. The beet dessert was interesting. In all fairness, it may just not have been our type of place. There was something... More

OMG where do I start, this place is heaven on earth. From the fantastic friendly staff to the sublime food, this restaurant is a must for any discerning foodie visitor. We visited twice in seven days because we simply couldn't get enough. Both times we had exceptional food and both times we chose the de gustation menu, although one of... More

Great food. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The smoked eggplant dip, lentil croquettes and rainbow trout were delicious.

When I see reviews for a restaurant that are diametrically opposed, some saying they had their best meal there, and some saying that they had their worst meal, I initially tend to discount the naysayers, assuming that their experiences were aberrations. After dining there myself, with my family, unfortunately, I have to join the latter. There were some very good... More

If you are a real foodie, this is a great place. If you are a meat lover, keep going. It was recommended to us by a local friend, we were in town for work. We ordered several different dishes to share which included the beef tartare on flatbread, smoked potatoes, cured salmon, plum soup and lard for the bread. They... More

Shared the family feast, which, I must admit left me a tad puckish. Lots of dishes with little fat or protein and my tummy must need that to feel sated. Not much of their famous bread!

We wandered in and were intrigued by the simple lunch menu. The bread was excellent and kefir butter was excellent so we looked forward to a good meal. We had the cold stone soup which was a bad borscht, we had the special sandwich which was inedible and we had something else which escapes my mind but was of the... More

My family took me to this delicious restaurant and we gave it the universal tick of approval. Service was attentive and very knowledgeable. The menu was interesting and we could've chosen any dish - we opted for the set selection for the four of us- and loved it. The bread was great - always a measure of excellence! The wine... More
