Great tastin g cuisine with diverse flavours from places lñike Hungary, Scandenavia, Japan and the west coast. Good beer and winelist to match the great food. Good service.

I came to Bar Tartine  with hig expectations having been reading passionately their books and practicing on many of the recipes. I saw an ad with picture on "Tasting Table" for the Sauerkraut Soup from Bar Tartine. I knew immediately I had to have it. It looked delicious. We enjoyed our evening here - had the friends and family menu with the pairings - next time we would order on our own. Hands down favorites: lentil croquettes, sweet potato salad, pork meatballs, beef tartare on toast and the carrot salad. We'd probably skip dessert but worth trying your first time...great room, service was knowledgable and enthusiastic.

The good: The smoked potatoes are fantastic. Get them. I would never have expected that the flavor would permeate the skin of the potato, but they're rich and flavorful. At Bar Tartine, I'm happy to try anything on the menu. Even if some components aren't my favorite, I end up loving every dish. There are multiple layers of flavor in every plate. This is a great place to order family style and share.

what a great food experience. We had the flat bread with avocado a eggs and the papikras chicken. Excellent fully flavored dishes. One of our favorites was the yoghurt with persimus. Roasted potatoes with black garlic were excellent as well as fresh salad with i think ricotta. I wasnt too crazy about flatbread, it was hot flatbread with hot cheese - nothing else. Brined veggies were ok, I feel I missed on better dishes and we didnt try the main dishes, I feel the pork would have been excellent.
