Best Croissant of the city

I loved this place, my favorite ever was the cheese and ham croissant. And the diverse desserts makes you feel happy all the time.

This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in SF. The doors opened @ 5:30 and quickly filled with customers and our culinary discoveries began. After some discussion we settled on the Friends and Family prefix menu versus the ala cart dinner menu. Great choice as the creativity and flavors of the 14 dishes were amazing and satisfying.... Took a recommendation from a friend of a friend who lives in San Fran and booked Bar Tartine for our last night in the city. I enjoyed it but my husband (who isn't a particularly adventurous eater) wasn't so keen on some of the flavours. We did the family-style menu where you get to sample lots of things, and we... More

Great food and Great Service. I was with one other person. We had the friends/family menu which is a set menu of many small courses. It is not totally set because they have substitutions available for people (like me) who are vegetarian or who have other restrictions. The staff was very good, willing to discuss everything that we wanted to... More

Good products for an original brunch menu. All stuff are fresh and recipes are astonnishing and very San Francisco style. It's very crowdy on week ends and you 'l want to book a table in advance. A bit Noisy depending on where you are in the room. Prices are SF like but it's woth the cost and it's a good... More

This was my second meal at Bar Tartine. My first experience, a year ago, was much better. We had the tasting menu. Good not great. The have a short wine list, which I respect, but they go out of there way to feature obscure grape varieties from obscure places. If you want something standard, like a Rhone or a Bordeaux... More

One word: Blackened potatoes, so good! We got a smorgasbord of dishes to share including the heavenly potatoes, beef tartare, bread with pistachip dip, pound cake with raspberry cream, scrambled eggs with avocado spread and the smoked beef brisket. We also had some lavender tea and the apple cider & lime soda. The potatoes, brisket, bread with dip and pound... More

The best meal we've had in 2015 locally. My husband is a foodie. And we eat out a lot. This was amazing. Just lacks cocktails. Go to Blondie's for a martini before dinner. Them come here. Period.

Usually don't enjoy the "fresh" or organic eating style bombarding SF but Bar Tartine's brunch was unique and very tasty with a good balance of veg, protein and sauces. Portion size could have been larger but at least they were generous with coffee. Pricing is very reasonable as well given quality and location.

My wife had been dying to try Tartine bakery and Bar Tartine for sometime. On our current visit to San Francisco, we had the opportunity to slip in for Saturday lunch. We arrived immediately at opening without a reservation, and there were already many other couples and groups waiting for opening. We did not have a reservation but were able... More
