Good. Not great.

Solid restaurant. The ingredients are top notch but the menu could use some expansion. There were only one salad, two apps, two sides, and two mains to choose from. Good vibes. Not too loud. Overall a nice experience.

I had a great time here! I'm a super picky eater, but even I had to try every single dish served during the prix fixe brunch served to us.

Four of us went to an early dinner at Bar Tartine on Saturday night. Its a hip restaurant in a rapidly changing neighborhood. The four of us opted to do the pre fix menu without the wine pairings. We had a few dishes that were sublime (for example the tartar and the goat cheese and patron peppers) but others were... More

Let me start by saying that the staff was great, great wine list, really nice ambiance and decor. We heard great things about the restaurant and decided to try de friends and family menu which is about 14 small dishes and 2 desserts. The bread basket was amazing and honestly should be paired with the food. From the 14 dishes... More

Great, fresh, super creative menu. Amazing flavors you would never think can work together. And as others wrote before... the bread is amazing!!!

We were told by several people that this was " the restaurant " in San Francisco, so needless to say we were eager to try it. When we saw the prix fixe menu my wife said there was nothing that appealed to her. I convinced her to try it, which was a big mistake. I'm all for being creative but,... More

Bar Tartine is a great choice is you approach new restaurants as an adventure. Expect to ask the knowledgeable wait staff a lot of questions about the food, and trust their recommendations. We shared everything, allowing us to try a variety of delicious and interesting dishes.

There are many reasons to come to the Bar Tartine, but they all start with the bread, which is homemade and the best our family has ever tasted. We especially liked the wheat but the rye was also tasty. But it is what goes on the bread that makes this restaurant so inventive. Try the homemade farmers cheese and mushroom... More

What an amazing place. There's a Friends and Family menu at about $76 a person, or an a la carte menu that can also be shared. We enjoyed the a la carte choices for 4 of us, and with drinks and trying out some desserts we spent $220.! But you will not regret this place. The staff is very attentive,... More

Prior to travelling to San Francisco on holiday, my wife and I did a a bit of research on best restaurants in the city and Bar Tartine was highly recommended. So we booked a table for lunch and cannot recommended the food at this restaurant/bar highly enough. Staff were very friendly and efficient! Great selection of food on offer and... More
