Great view, but food is just okay.

This diner has a great location in the Ghirardelli complex, so some tables have excellent views of the Bay. That was what I wanted, so I didn't mind that the food was just average. In a city with amazing sourdough bread, I was expecting more from my sandwich. That and the coleslaw were very like... read more

The best think about Lori's diner is that it is open 24 hours. There are a couple of locations downtown. There is usually a small wait. Our waitress basically ignored us for about 20 minutes until I was ready to get up and walk out. I had the open roast beef sandwich and probably would have been better breaking out... More

This is a 50's retro joint with a great view of the Bay but the red decor may give some a headache After a week in SF, you cannot stand the thought of another big meal so we chose Lori's. for a small meal with cherry cokes. The food was average and the service was average but it hit the... More

Had a cheeseburger and chips. It was no better than Wimpy. Totally regrettable, hopefully forgettable. The views might be good, but don't be lulled into eating here. Go elsewhere and enjoy the views some other way.

This diner is tucked into Ghiradelli Square and I'm surprised it's there. It took them awhile to seat us and take our order. I feel as if they're understaffed, but that's not the problem. The problem lies in the quality of food. The hamburger was tasteless, as if it hadn't been seasoned and the fries were greasy. My wife has... More

Good for breakfast but be sure to use the coupon (20% off) available in the bay city guide - they are in a box at the bottom of the steps by the diner. Take one up with you!!

We have been here several times over the years - mostly because we enjoy sitting outside where the views are great. The food is ok, but quite expensive. Service can be good depending on the waiter on duty - we've had very good service and very rude service. Will probably go back because of the location - but the food... More

I guess there was a reason a diner in Ghirardelli Square was not busy on a Sunday...it was just OK, nothing great by any menas. Service only marginal, food was edible, but nothing special. While $60 for lunch for 3 is not horrible in SF, it just was a flat feeling experience.

I was not pleased with our experience at all. Shouldn't take fifteen minutes before you are even greeted. By the time we got on the wait list. People walked in and got seated at the bar, and at a two top. A family chose to sit outside, we were never asked if we wanted to go out there. So they... More
