People walked in and got seated at the bar, and at a two top. A family chose to sit outside, we were never asked if we wanted to go out there. So they... More

A nice and quick diner here, not too expensive for fisherman's wharf and a nice view. It's old fashioned with half a car as front desk and funny lights on the ceiling. Decent food at decent price.

Believe it or not I watched a mouse walking freely on the bunk seating right behind my husband's seat in front of me. I stood up talked to the waiter, paid my bill and left. Disgusting.

Not cheap for a normal breakfast but the view was great! Rode the cable car to get there right when they opened at 8. Had the place to ourselves. Great service.

Came here on a weekday morning. Our server was nice, but there was only one cook in the back and it took way longer than it should have. The food was pretty boring and quite expensive. You are paying for the location I suppose.

We tried to order breakfast items but were told they'd stopped serving breakfast (it was around 11.30 and there were no times listed on the menu, door, board, etc) ordered the clam chowder but they didn't have the bread bowl so declined. My husband ordered orange juice and they had no freshly squeezed (ran out again) but gave him concentrate.... More

I wanted to visit American Diner and managed to convince wife to go here. Food was fine, good diner decor and good location but let down by disinterested staff.
