Solid Late Night Dinner

Open till 1am. The Ribs are a solid choice and so is the burger. If they have the truffle ravioli, get it!! Great lighting for couples.

This is our first time to San Francisco and we are enjoying our trip! The bell man, Chris, at our hotel highly recommended eating here at Oola, and I'm glad we took his suggestion. The food here is very delicious and the atmosphere is awesome! The restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. We flew in from Hawaii and didn't... More

Menu looked fun (octopus with popcorn!?) and the interior looked pleasing. Eight booked with relative ease. Starters arrived relatively quickly and the octopus was considered a good choice & the tacos were flavoursome. 75% of main courses arrived in reasonable time but 1 steak was pretty cold and the side of crack fries was AWOL. The mac & cheese was... More

Visited Oola for the first time on a Sunday for brunch. There is nothing wrong with this place - it has a nice vibe - just nothing spectacular, food-wise. Probably a good place for a drink and bar bites after a conference at Moscone. It was not overly busy even at noon on Sunday, which is an indicator of quality... More

Just meh. Don't bother. Plan ahead next time and get reservations at Zero Zero. It's packed for a reason.

Good hours, nice decor for a bar, but very tiny menu and tasteless mac and cheese. Don't think we'd go back. Service was so-so (brought wrong item).

I found this place accidentally. I was visiting the Moscone Center and went out for lunch. After finding it, I visited every day for lunch. I also tried for dinner and also for a late night stop. For lunch, it was quiet and I was guaranteed to get a seat. The food was good and reasonably priced. I tried several... More

One of a number of restaurants in this area, the food was very good. Service was generally fine but I do dislike others' plates being cleared when one of the group of four is still eating! Maybe a little to learn in that department? Wine list was varied with some excellent wines on offer. Will need to be careful to... More

I've been here dozens of times due to it's location. I don't know if I would go so often if it was not so close! It's a bit pricey, but the food is good and they know us. I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner there. I'm not sure I would make a special trip to eat here, but it is a... More

My wife and I went here for dinner last night and we had a fantastic dinner. We arrived earlier than expected so we had a cocktail at the bar. The bartender was super cool, chatted us up and made great drinks. We sat down for dinner and was served by a very friendly guy who was another good conversationalist. There... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
