Local feel, different food..

I went there on my own and ended up with a table right by the door. The menu is relatively small I wanted to try most of the items listed. I ended up with the salad (very fresh with tasty dressing) and as a main I had the chicken with quinoa and kale, with lightly sautéed zucchini. It felt... read more

Our daughter lives about 1 1/2 blocks from this great spot so we have been a few times, once for breakfast and twice for dinner. It is always really good. And very fairly priced for the quality of food you get. We have sampled much of the menu and everything has been good to very good. Be sure to try... More

The Fairmont concierge recommended it - perfect. We blended in with the locals, many of whom were regulars. This is exactly what we look for when on the road. An unpretentious place with friendly service and excellent food. The truffle fries - excellent The chicken pot pie - homemade and comfortably cozy The brussel sprouts & bacon - comfort food... More

Booked via OpenTable, we mistakenly went to Nob Hill Cafe first! Still got here in time for reservation. Shown to our table and don't be put off by appearance - the food here is excellent. Our party of four had Swordfish or Short Rib Beef, with a variety of accompaniments - all good. The table next to ours were so... More

Made the reservation at the last minute. We got a great seat near the door, great for people watching. Lovely local neighbourhood vibe in the restaurant. Service was very good considering there were only 2 guys serving. I was feeling in a comfort food mode and ordered the Mac n cheese for starter and the beef short ribs for main... More

It's a small space cranking out a great selection of food. Beer list is a solid option as were wines. No booze. Grab a spot at the bar to watch the chefs work their tails off and whip up the great meals

My main complaint is that service was very slow, and yet the waiter added himself a 17% tip on my bill. We were only three people: it is not standard to add the tip on the bill with such a small group! The food was fine while lacking flavor: I had to add salt, which I usually never do. I... More

This was a great place to eat lunch! The food was spectacular and great tasting! The corn-beef hash was amazing. The pieces of corn-beef were think and large. The egg that came with was perfectly cook to my liking. The sauce they used was superb and mixed nicely with the corn-beef. Great place and also a bit of a wait.

Me and my wife had dinner at this place because we liked the menu that seemed to offer a good choice of dishes and in addition it was also located near our hotel. We arrived around 21, the place was not crowded at all, so we sit on a table in front of the counter and begin to read the... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
