We really enjoyed our dinner at Vicoletto. The food was delicious and the service was good even though one of the servers was out. It is a small restaurant and very lively...meaning it can get a little loud and the tables were mostly banquettes. It didn't bother us, but if you are looking for a quiet and intimate dinner, you... Being honest, the food is great, the deserts are to die for and the service is good, however is a gourmet place so if you are really hungry I would suggest to visit another place. I checked the reviews before go there and I think that this place belongs to a different ranking of prices. ..it is not cheap at... More

Pleasantly surprised at the wonderful food and service. Desserts get a 5 star rating. Went after Beach Blanket Babylon. Within waking distance.

This is a great but small restaurant. I would highly suggest a reservation, we watched them turn away a number of people on a Sunday night. Food is great and they have a nice selection of wines. Only bad thing is that by being such a small restaurant, you do sit close to your fellow patrons, and it can get... More

This is a friendly relatively quiet restaurant just far enough off Columbus to be out of the hubbub. It gets busy after 7 or so - we went about 6:15 before a show and it was scarily empty. However, the staff are very friendly, service was superb. We shared a salad ($10) and a main course of Tagliatelle with short... More

I visited Vicoletto with a friend who is a local and loves the place. I agree. Of course North Beach has hundreds of Italian restaurants with anything from pizza to prime rib. Vicoletto has a nice modern interior and vibe. The service is attentive without being obtrusive. The wine list is of course heavy on Italian reds, but the server... More

Good service, good wine, good apps. Ambiance was fine, nothing special. The biggest highlight is the pasta, definitely on par with Italy.

I have been here many times and have enjoyed it every time. It's small and a little hidden, but certainly a great find. I find it to be a great spot to have dinner out with friends. It is always full, the staff is always great and the food never fails to satisfy. If you want great Italian food in... More

We recently dined here on our trip to SF from Boston based on tripadvisor reviews. This restaurant was excellent! From the charcuterie & cauliflower appetizer, gnocchi, bistecca, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and veal dinners and panna cotta with raspberry coulis & chocolate lava cake for dessert-everything was outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We joined up with a larger party of friends at Violettos. The arranged the tables, fixed kids menus and served us all nicely. We had various starters, all great. This is an italian restaurant and the main items of the menu are pastas and pizzas. We continued this variation for main course. Then some had some seafood linguini, and that... More
