Hearty Breakfasts

We ate two breakfasts here, including omelets and French Toast. All delicious and substantial. Day I service was exceptional. Day two was slower with a packed house.

My firends were looking forward to trying this restaurant for breakfast when I came to visit. What a disappointment. We walked to the restaurant from their home with their baby who was sleeping in the stroller. There was no host or hostess. A gentleman just stared at us and we finally had to ask to be seated. He looked at... More

Loved Eggs Benedict on Sat and Sun. They even stayed open late so the two of us could have a celibratory drink.

Fast service, really great breakfast. We stayed at the hotel above the restaurant, so it was convenient. The locals (on the Munibus) mentioned it favorably too.

We met regularly with elder relatives and this is a family favorite. The servers are excellent at their jobs and are very attentive, especially to older patrons. The crab sandwiches are fantastic and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It is hard to get a table for 6 with a view, but we usually go when a party of "regulars" are... More

This place has a lot of neighborhood regulars on weekdays and on weekends it's clear that folks come from further away just for the terrific breakfast food. Menu looks pretty standard diner fare but with the occasional local twist. Omelets are my favorite, but they also have wonderful pancakes, biscuits, etc. Decor is simple and a bit dated, but the... I grew up with my folks owning a second home here in the city so I have hunted out every nook and cranny for little treasure spots to take family and friends when they visit. That being said, the breakfasts here are worth the drive if you are staying downtown on Union Square or at the Wharf. Everyone comes here... More

I have been going here for breakfast since the early 80's. I always order the Spanish omelet. When I was young I had them add more cheese and sour cream. The recipe hasn't changed at all. If it broke, why fix it. I went here with my French cousins. They were in heaven, ordering, pancakes and sides of this and... More

Especially liked breakfast choices; omelets and coffee were superb. At a number of the tables, you get a nice view of the Pacific Ocean.

Been to the Seal Rock Inn Restaurant in the past...it's always been a reliably good breakfast place, and it's across the street from the Sutro Heights Park!!
