Nice Afternoon at Lou's

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Lou's. The chowder was delicious. We each got a full Dungeness crab. They were extremely delicious. We enjoyed our outside location. The server was quirky but fun. It was a great place to have an extra long lunch.

I went with my family to Lou’s Fish Shack located in Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco on New Year’s Day 2015. It was about 2pm when we came to the restaurant. We decided to get a table inside the restaurant instead of one outside as it was a bit cold. Ahead of us in the queue was a couple. We... More

Popped in for a quick lunch and enjoyed the clam chowder and fish and chips. Crab bisque had two small pieces of crab, disappointing.

Went to the bar for dinner. I got the clam chowder, you have to when you are in San Francisco. It wasn't the best chowder in San Fran but it was decent. Kate was the bartender and she was friendly and helpful. I would go back but would try something else.

Was on a business trip to San Francisco and decided to take a trip down to the wharf and walk along to see what I could see. At lunch I stopped in Lou's Pier 47 Restaurant. It was a very good choice. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I will stop there again when back in... More

We walked from Pier 39 west towards cable cars on Hyden St. looking for some nice lunch, but nothing cought our eye, till this restaurant/bar. Prices were reasonable, you get proper service, not like the place closer to tourists, where you eat from paper boxes for even much more money. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Regarding the food we... More

We came here for an early lunch and left very satisfied, the food was amazing with my wife having the chowder in a bread bowl which she loved, I had a couple of apatizers which were lovely. The drinks were also very good. The price was also very good, we would visit here again wthout question.

Stopped in late afternoon and the drinks were cold, food was average. We had the bisque, crab cake sandwich and snapper. Although the food was average, the price was a bit steep. It is Fisherman’s Wharf. Staff was friendly and the service was very good however this would not be my choice for future visits.

Stopped in for drinks, around 8:30pm... Neat place, smelled like a good fish-fry joint. Plenty of local brews on-tap. Sign me up, right? Well, after having a drink and looking around the pier a bit to explore, we went back inside to get some food and the kitchen was closed... on a Thursday night, around 9pm... I guess we were... Stopped in after walking around the wharf area. Figured on typical tourist prices. Bucket of beers was fairly priced. Fish and chips and fish tacos were good but rather pricey. Good band playing upstairs. Was worth the experience and would go back and hang out again. Next time would stick to appetizers.
