Good Happy Hour!

We stepped in for some much needed happy hour drinks, and ended up going with the Sangrias which were very yummy and just what we needed to keep going with our day. Service was a little slow. We had some calamari to go with the sangrias and it was delicious, highly recommend to have as an appetizer.

Expect to be waiting at busy times. The food is worth waiting for and is at least fresh. Despite being busy, the server remained cheerful.

Lou's Pier 47 is a great place for live music in an unfiltered setting. Not a dive bar, but the ambiance is similar. A rockin' place. Been going to Lou’s place since the early 90’s, and have seen a number of great local rock and blues bands, Tommy Castro, Brazen’ Hussy, and cover band Brother Buzz. Always a good time.... More

Pretty solid for what's a tourist trap on Fisherman's Wharf. Burger was fine, and the garlic fries were yummy. We had a whole dungeoness crab also, which was good, and meaty. Needed to ask twice for crackers for the crab, but service was friendly and good. Not too slow either. It was busy on a Saturday but sat outside which... More

We visited Lou's twice during our trip to San Francisco. It was so delicious the first time we had to go back! I got the seafood alfredo and it was to die for. The crab bisque and clam chowder were also delicious. The kids fish and chips was the only thing we had that was sub-par. It was OK but... More

It is a must do when you are at Fisherman's Wharf. And, this is one of the better places to have clam chowder. All the food is good, and it's great to set out on the sidewalk, and enjoy the day.

We stopped in for some clam chowder in a bread bowl. The waitress said the crab soup was better but after she brought us a sample for both we both had the claim chowder. Overall great chowder on a cold windy evening. Service was a little slow but overall pretty good.

I'm a local from North Beach, and I must say that this "touristy" restaurant is surprisingly good! The location is great, and the food and service was far above-average. Maybe I wasn't expecting much, but my boyfriend and I have been there twice in the past 4 weeks and we actually enjoyed the total dining experience. On both occasions Lou's... More

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Lou's. The chowder was delicious. We each got a full Dungeness crab. They were extremely delicious. We enjoyed our outside location. The server was quirky but fun. It was a great place to have an extra long lunch.
