We had Thanksgiving brunch here during our stay. They had a huge buffet with something for everyone. i was especially impressed that each item was labeled if it was gluten free or vegan etc which was especially helpful as i have celiacs.

We stayed here on our ATI Tour of California and were impressed by the room, amenities, restaurant and staff. As it on Nob Hill it looks over most of San Francisco and is handy to most local attractions.

We visited before a wedding the top floor of the The Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill . The personnel were extremely friendly and allowed us to travel to the top and take pictures as they set up for a wedding . It was cloudy and the pictures were thus cloudy also but the view what we saw was incredible .... More

Appetizers were creative and filling. Deviled eggs can be awful -- these were fantastic. Service was superb -- we had a bottomless vat of popcorn that was addicting.

The Fairmont Crown is situated at the top of the hill. It has nice rooms and good service. We did not do much in the hotel though except to sleep and bathe as we went sightseeing around San Francisco most of the day every day we were there. The front desk staff and bellhops were very accommodating and I enjoyed... More

Ok, so we were staying in the hotel on business and most of our breakfast were catered. Dinner and lunches were not. I ate at the Fairmont Crown for dinner and breakfast. The setting for this restaurant is old world luxury. It is a beautiful environment. The hostess seating experience at dinner was delayed. The asparagus soup and truffle frites were wonderful. The clams were overcooked and many of the shells were empty with no clam meat at the bottom of the... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
