Nothing special, but if you want to avoid hotel breakfasts and prices then this place is just fine. Wide choice of breakfasts, all at very good prices. Very friendly service. A no frills eatery that fulfills a need in this area.

Nice restaurant for breakfast, inexpensive good typical American breakfast choices including all the basics, eggs, pancakes, toast, bacon etc. and of course endless cups of coffee. I went there three days running it got the day off to a good start. The décor is somewhat shabby but the quality of the food more than makes up for it and I... More

Like others, we were staying at a nearby hotel that was, frankly, hopeless, for breakfast. This was just a couple of minutes walk away, but a world away in value and service. It is run by a Chinese couple and offers just about any breakfast combination you could want for an excellent price. Any type of egg (fried, boiled, scrambled... More

The ambiance is a little tired, but the food and service at breakfast time is very good. No hesitation in recommending this as an alternative to expensive and bland hotel food.

We were staying in a hotel close by and had breakfast at the New Village twice on the recommendation of our tour manager. Simple and straightforward breakfast food. They did seem to struggle a bit under pressure on the second day because of the extra business they were getting as a result of our tour manager's recommendation - the price... More

This is a little hole in the wall place. We went on a Tuesday and didn't realize the place was closed but the owner let us in anyway to get a quick bite. The food was typical breakfast stuff. I got scrambled egs with corn beef hash which was super good. And the husband order was French Toast which he... More

I agree 100% with Tien...food is ok, service is ok to good, ambiance is a D. Seats, whether at the bar or in a booth, are dilapidated, cushions worn out, covers taped, and the tile on the floor??? Take a look at it...the grout has eroded over the years, and how they keep a Health Inspection is beyond me. You... More

This place have good breakfast food. But my only complaint is their seat is old, worn out, and they have tape on it. Pretty crappy if you ask me. And if you have to use the bathroom, you have to literally walk through the kitchen and the cook to reach it. TIP make sure you use the bathroom before coming.

Nothing fancy here except great food. Don't expect fancy anything here - just good home cooking. We ate here for breakfast and had the pancakes special and the eggs florentine. Both dishes were delicious and reminded me of an old diner in small town Oklahoma. The couple that run this San Francisco cafe are very friendly and make sure everything... More

I always have breakfast here when staying at the Holiday Inn on Van Ness. David and Anna are great hosts and we are now on first name terms - it is really good to be remembered every time I go in and even better they remember what my favourite breakfast is. The service is prompt and courteous and the food... More
