Tasty

The food was decent but the environment was to noisy and hot. The waitresses were pretty polite. There wasn't much room so there was a waiting line. All in all I recommend that you give this a try!😊

We fish, we bring our fish to Capital for them to cook. Rarely over cooked if at all. They prepare specialty item in advanced such as squab, Peking Duck, Stuffed Chicken, Barley Duck. Service is very good.

I ate here with my 2 children (16 & 12) yesterday after my son had be bugging us all vacation to have Chinese food. The place is pretty basic and the service is fairly abrupt, but the food arrived quickly and tasted great. The clientele were a mixture of local Chinese folks and tourists from our of town. All in... Went here tonight with my husband. Restaurant is certainly no frills but was very busy with both Chinese families and tourists. We had the set menu C which @ $15.95 each for 5 dishes was a bargain. The prawns were nice, wonton soup excellent, beef - quite stringy but the pork noodles and chicken fried rice were lovely. Would recommend... More

We went for dinner- a family of 5 with a picky 6 year old. There were several Chinese families there, which for me is a sign of authenticity. Everything was delicious , my 6 year old devoured the fried rice with chicken (unfortunately sans vegetables to her request). Only downside is the cleanliness- restroom was past the kitchen and had... More

No frills, cash only restaurant ......no ambiance BUT food is well prepared with fresh ingredients. Menu is in English but many local Chinese people eat there. So good that we ate there twice in four days! As good as the New York Chinatown restaurants we frequent..... This well priced Chinese restaurant us a must if you are an aficionado of... More

To the point waitress who was efficient and courteous. Gorgeous food from a big menu. Extremely good value for money. Great place to go if you're trying to avoid the ridiculous prices of the more touristy parts. I guess the best advert for this place is it was absolutely rammed with local people.

Great value with good sized portions . Half carafe of red wine was surprisingly nice for $10! Massive choice with interesting options. Wonton soup worth trying. Had to queue but worth the wait . Comforting that at least half of the clientele were Chinese !

It's often said you only find tourist haunts for eating in Chinatown - well, to date, Capital stills bucks that trend with authentic and tasty value priced cuisine. Make sure you bring cash, it's the only way to pay - but that's what you expect, and like, when it comes to eating in formica table style local chinese, the kind... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch during a recent visit to Chinatown. This restaurant is located in the heart of Chinatown. We started off with an order of their Chinese style salt and pepper chicken wings that consisted of twelve medium sized deep fried chicken wings. Although they were crispy, they were greasy and boring. They were perfectly... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
