Yes, the Chicken Wings are that Good

Ducked in late and sat at the counter after a long day of classes during a week in SF. Not fancy, but friendly and fast. Though the wings were an appetizer, I couldn't finish my whole order, though I wanted to. Perfectly crisp, perfectly spiced, and great with the red hot sauce on the counter... read more

Food - 5 Service - 3 (about what you would expect, for the neighborhood) Ambience - none, but it's all about the food. I like it when there are more locals than tourists in the joint. $ - Good & inexpensive Enough said... Go for the food.

A highly regarded Chinatown gem that is famous for its chicken wings. They were awesome, as well as the steamed pork and string beans. Waitress was a little rude, and the bathroom is an adventure, but this is well worth checking out. There are pictures surrounding the dining room for almost every dish, so you know what you are ordering.... More

This is a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Everything I've had here is very good, but the wings are the best part! They are simple dry wings with jalapenos but somehow they are perfect in every way! You're getting about 10 wings for $8. For how good the wings are, it's a steal.

This place was buzzing. We waited for a free table and were really pleased we did. The food was great. We shared 6 dishes and everyone was delicious. If anything was disappointing it was the chicken wings others have recommended, just plain old fried chicken.

Five of us popped in here for an evening meal after a very full day of sightseeing. The service was very pleasant and the food quick and tasty. The place was hopping the entire time we were there. My only nit picky thing about this place is that it could use a tiny bit more of a cleaning.....but I suppose... More

This is a place that we visit on every vacation, pretty much every year. We always order the Lobster emein and a few other dishes. This last visit was not memorable. The table was greasy, water cups were so old, cracks and clouded over appearance. The service is always friendly, they seem to remember us. The food on the other... More

Capital Restaurant, located on 839 Clay Street, San Francisco, is one of those restaurant, people walking don't pay attention to the sign and its dry, weather beaten brown door. Looking into this restaurant is a delightful tasty local food, a beautiful flower in a port. Although I have been there may times, recently one of My friend and I went... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
