Chinese dinner

Great food here, really enjoyed it, and plentiful. Authentic cuisine. Service so-so, but that's fairly typical of Chinese restaurants in my experience. And good luck finding the toilets/restroom through the kitchen - very odd!

Great value with good sized portions . Half carafe of red wine was surprisingly nice for $10! Massive choice with interesting options. Wonton soup worth trying. Had to queue but worth the wait . Comforting that at least half of the clientele were Chinese !

It's often said you only find tourist haunts for eating in Chinatown - well, to date, Capital stills bucks that trend with authentic and tasty value priced cuisine. Make sure you bring cash, it's the only way to pay - but that's what you expect, and like, when it comes to eating in formica table style local chinese, the kind... More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch during a recent visit to Chinatown. This restaurant is located in the heart of Chinatown. We started off with an order of their Chinese style salt and pepper chicken wings that consisted of twelve medium sized deep fried chicken wings. Although they were crispy, they were greasy and boring. They were perfectly... More

I first ate here in 2011 searching for a place locals enjoy. I had the spicy eggplant and it was lovely! Once again I found myself in Chinatown searching for a bite to eat. I had the beef and dried bean curd clay pot, which is a melt in your mouth stew. Rich, flavorful, and filling. Menu is varied, prices... More

Every time we return to San Francisco, we try to have a dinner at the Capitol. The menu is vast and always delicious.Like the salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp with walnuts and dozens of others. Google up their menu. Of course like everywhere in the city parking is bad, but if you cruise around enough you can find something.... More

We had kung pao chicken and it was very good, service wasn't so good but it was very busy. Prices are very reasonable.I would eat here again.

One of the only family style Chinese American restaurant left in SF Chinatown. My favorite is the Prime Rib on Tuesdays with either rice or spaghetti!! Their are other favorites such as pork chops, ox tail stew, beef tongue, and their ever favorite is their garlic fried chicken wings.

Found this place on TripAdvisor as we really had no idea where to eat in ChinaTown (there are so many places to choose from!). The food was ok, but was really bland - definitely had room for more chilli, spices and imagination - plenty of prawns and veges though, so no complaints there.

It was good food and the service was good and the food came out hot. It was spicy and they have some specials. Good place to eat when you visit sfo.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
