Enjoyed fresh seafood wharf style. Portions are generous and food is fresh. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious and perfectly cooked. The shrimp salad was loaded with shrimp and the crab panini was fresh and flavorful. The wait staff were personable and attentive. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

The locals were eating here and that is always a good sign. From the front they look like all the other street vendors. The crab cocktails and the sourdough bread bowls in the window got my attention right away, and we wound up going inside to be seated for lunch. The servers are friendly and professional. Overall good service. The... More

Some people say the best thing to happen to bread was when it was sliced, but they're wrong -- it's sourdough! We know there are many seafood restaurants in San Francisco, so we couldn't be happier that you chose to enjoy the taste of the city with us. Thank you so much for visiting, Susan, and we hope to see... More

This is a good place for a casual seafood meal. The staff is very friendly and the service efficient and pleasant. Nice seafood variety. There is a bustling sidewalk cafe just outside so the seafood turnover is swift. I liked the seafood platter with cooked crab and shrimp and raw oysters and clams. The side salad had a nice vinaigrette... More

I had the Clam Chowder here and it was incredible. Its not a trip to San Francisco unless you get from from one of the sidewalk restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf. My wife ate shrimp next door at The Crab Station, which was also fantastic. You can't go wrong eating at one of these restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf.

You're right, you can't say you've been to San Francisco without visiting Fisherman's Wharf! Clam chowder is definitely a popular choice here, so we're glad it lived up to your expectations. We'd love to see you again next time you're in San Francisco. Of course, the clam chowder will be waiting for you as well. All the best, Tom More

WOW! This little gem of a restaurant is nestled amongst the popular Fisherman's Wharf. We had the pleasure of meeting the bartender was a grandson of the owner. Apparently this restaurant dates back to the 1920's. We ate here at least twice while vacationing in the area and I must add the food is very consistent and flavorful. From the... More

It was a cold and windy day at the wharf and the outside food stands looked appetizing. Inside, the prices were slightly higher, but the service was excellent and the dishes were super. The soup in a bread bowl was outstanding.

It's pretty sweet that our food hit the mark with you! Hopefully, the soup was enough to warm you up before you hit the cold and treacherous temperatures on the Wharf. If you're ever in town again, feel free to come by again! You're always welcome with us. All the best, Tom More

I had crab cakes and my husband had fish and chips. We both had the chowder and thoroughly LOVED it! Also excellent was the service. They were cheerful and quick to respond to our every request.

The clam chowder was really tasty. The sour-dough bread was much larger than I was expecting and perfect for mopping up the remainder of the sauce. The oyster crackers gave a nice crunch to the dish. At $7.07 it was very well priced and makes for an ideal lunch in San Francisco.

Nothing better than mopping up that last bit of sauce with some delicious sourdough! Glad it hit the spot for you. Hope to see you again the next time you're in SF! Best, Tom More

Saw it got good reviews on urbanspoon. Had some soul. Other family members had some pasta. Soul was really not good although it was pricy. Avoid.

As you noted from our reviews, we've taken a lot of pride in our fresh seafood since 1927, so I'm disappointed that we didn't leave you with a better impression. What you described is certainly not the norm, and I will be sure to follow up with my team. I know we'd all love another chance, so I hope that... More
