Glad you enjoyed our dishes so much, Kathleen! That said, I'm a little surprised you were directed inside. We want you to enjoy our seafood however you see fit -- so I hope next time you'll stop by our outside stand. Best, Tom More

Stopped by for lunch and we both had the half sandwich and cup of soup. That was plenty to eat. I got the Crab sandwich and the wife had the Shrimp sandwich. Both were fresh and tasty.

I really appreciate the compliment! Sounds like both you and your wife enjoyed your dishes, and had plenty left to enjoy later. Who doesn't love leftovers? Hope to see you both again very soon. Best, Tom More

My wife and I set aside 1 day from our wine country vacation, to have a much anticipated lunch @ the highest TA ranked restaurant, Kokkari Estiatorio. After having a good meal, but nothing compared to the hype, I decided to pick up a "to go" order of Cioppino, from the restaurant recommended by our concierge, Alioto's. Luckily, they did... More

Fresh seafood bathed in hearty Italian style tomato excitement! Hah, that is classic. You say it perfectly, but I'm truly honored that you enjoyed it so much. We've been serving up SF seafood since 1927, so I'm thrilled to hear that we've still got it. Make sure you stop by the next time you're in the neighborhood! Best, Tom More

Sabella & La Torre is in an excellent location in Fisherman's Wharf, surrounded by fresh seafood. We arrived pretty early on a Monday so it wasn't crazy busy which was nice. I can only imagine this place being really busy at nights and on the weekend. I had a house salad that was piled high with shrimp and also a... More

Elisabeth, it sounds like you and your friends had a pretty nice time! No wait, tons of fresh SF shrimp, and great chowder! That said, I wish you had left a little more detail about where we could improve, as I'd love to see us earn those last two stars the next time you make it out to the Wharf!... More

This place is right in the middle of fishermans wharf. The food was very good. I had clam chowder soup and a crab sandwich. My wife has a crab plate. It is a bit pricey but you have to expect that from this location being in the heart of the tourist area.

Cody, I'm delighted that you and your wife enjoyed the clam chowder, crab sandwich, and crab plate so much. When in SF, you have to get crab, so nice choices there! Getting the freshest crab does impact the price, but as you hopefully saw, it's absolutely worth it! Make sure you stop by the next time you're on the Wharf!... More

except from where it is, but it has good food and the price is alright. This is where my husband used to take the family to eat when we were in the wharf

Seafood everywhere on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. Sabella and La Torre has a long history on the pier. Like many of the older restaurants it looks old and run down. I suppose that is part of the "charm" of this historic district and the experience is all about the seafood. My wife is the seafood lover. I ordered the... More

You're absolutely right about the history of our restaurant, as we've been serving up fresh SF catches since 1927. While I'm delighted that your wife enjoyed the seafood so much, I'm disappointed that the fettuccine alfredo didn't leave you with the same impression. If you're not happy, we aren't, so I hope you passed your comments along to your server.... More

We decided to have chowder after walking along Fisherman's Wharf and the sourdough bread bowls with chowder looked good. The chowder was great and the service was fast. However, the counter space was limited and very cluttered with trash. Space wouldn't have been an issue if the counter had been maintained. The atmosphere is the area and it is lively... More

Thanks for stopping by! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the bread bowls and chowder, but I regret that the counter could have been cleaner during your visit. That's not the norm for us, and I will be sure to share your comments with my team. Hope to see you again the next time you're in the neighborhood. Best, Tom More
