Whether a local or pure tourist, don't miss a visit to this iconic establishment. Located across the street from the Bay and cable car turn table the views are Kodak moments. Also, this is where the Irish Coffee drink was invented--- don't miss out, unless you don't drink. Don't like caffeine ? They can make decaf versions!

The Irish coffees are good, and this joint can get really busy in the evening! I've never eaten here, just had the coffee. It is always fun to go here around the holidays and pop over to the Embarcadero if you haven't been there before.

The Buena Vista is a great place known for their Irish Coffee drinks. It's a great, genuine San Fran bar... It s always my first stop when I come to town. It just gets me in the SF mood! Cloudy, windy, cold... No problem! There's a delicious Irish Coffee @ the Buena Vista waiting for you. I've me the most... More

A must in the Fishermans wharf area. The best Irish coffee ever! Always meet great peeps there. An international draw . Yes, touristy , but for a reason!

A landmark in San Francisco. A friendly place with a combination of friendly locals and tourists. Definitely the best Irish coffee anywhere. There is a reason they sell 2000 of them on an average day. The place is always busy but wait a while and you will get a seat, since most folks go just for the coffee.

We were welcomed late at night and enjoyed many delicious Irish Coffees with an order of French fries. All was good and the service was good and fun. It was the waitresses last night but her service and great sense of humor was fresh. Thank you for the wonderful memory.

Fun on a weekend brunch. The staff entertains and the food isn't bad. An Irish coffee on a foggy morning at the marina is perfect, pure San Francisco.

This place supposedly introduced the Irish Coffee to the US. It is a bloody good coffee made in front of you as you sit at the bar. Breakfast is fairly decent as well and the staff are a really friendly crowd. To sample the Irish Coffee alone is worth a visit and then you can jump on a cable car... More

Such a tourist trap. I wish we had not stepped into this place but the kids were hungry and we were leaving out of SanFran in several hours. A group of 5 people left a round table that sat 6 people and so the oriental man came along and cleaned the table for us to sit. As soon as we... More

Hamburgers ok, good Irish coffee. But the rest is awful. The "fresh crab" tastes like air. The "soup of the day" is a tiny glass with boiled carrots and potatoes. Rude waiters, long waiting.
