What a way to start the day, Irish coffee and a hearty delicious breakfast. Sit and look over the bay and plan your day or plan to stay and enjoy and Irish coffee or two before lunch!

I enjoy staying in the city on a weekend and this is one of my favorite spots to have breakfast. It is busy so you usually share tables but it lends to the experience. Don't forget to have an Irish Coffee!

When I ordered irish coffee i didnt' know I ordered a delicious treat for myself. There was a layer of cream that was about 3/4 of an inch. Sip the drink without mixing and enjoy!

Another old haunt on Fisherman's Wharf is the Buena Vista which created the Irish Coffee in 1952. It is still fascinating to watch the bartenders make irish coffee 20+ at a time and roll them out to salivating customers, particularly the old timer bartender who did card tricks to the delight of the ladies at the bar. This is another... More

We had dinner here on our last evening in San Francisco and unfortunately eating at Boulevard the evening before made our meal very average! The bar is amazing, wait staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. However the food is average at best, mostly fried food and everything is served with a very sad looking salad. Burgers were... More

If you like Irish coffee be sure to grab one at the bar. We skipped eating breakfast because we weren't in the mood for the "fight-for-a-seat" seating system. There is no host to seat you, and instead you are told to stand and wait for someone to get up "You'll never get a seat if you sit at the bar",... More

I love Irish Coffee and this place is where they started it in the US. The finished product is far and away better than any Irish Coffee I have had anywhere.

We came for a breakfast, the service was good,I had poached eggs with house potatoes, and opted for the sour dough toast,my wife had the omelette, house potatoes & sour dough toast. The poached eggs were good, the omelette was very thin, unfortunately both our potato choice was cold. The sour dough toast was really good,we didn't complain, maybe we should have done. The food was a total contrast... Wonderful throwback atmosphere, good service, great food, and the original Irish Coffee....you can't go wrong with this San Francisco staple. It's got great access via cable car and is just a short walk down to Wharf.
