This place is very busy, but there are systems in place if you don't mind waiting a few minutes to get sorted out with a queue for drinks, queue for eats and a queue for take away picnic stuff. Best clam chowder and sourdough bread.

We stopped here for breakfast after reading good reviews. We were disappointed! It was hectic and mad and frustrating as you got in one queue to order your food and then two other queues to collect your food and drink separately! Bagels were cold by the time we had faffed about!

This was our second trip out west and also the second time to San Francisco. Discovered Boudins accidentally and never forgot about it. Went there for breakfast and lunch this time. Lunch can be very busy but they have a very good system to get you in and out. Had no trouble finding a table out side for lunch. There's... More

We stopped by last night to eat a late dinner. We had to ask if we had a waiter because everyone seemed to ignore our table and it took awhile to even get a drink offer. Our waiter was never seen so refills and new drink orders were slow, slow, slow! Our waiter never delivered any of our food items. The... More

A bit pricey, but the food is outstanding and nicely presented. Nice atmosphere and very comfortable. Many food options, including the kids menu. The portions are quite large; enormous sourdough baguette burger and fish&chips. The dungeness crab cake appetizer was wonderful. Everything was delicious; even the kids meal was quite good! Outstanding service all the way around...from the host/hostesses to... More

This was a nice change after all the heavy food in LA. Gorgeous bread and chowder. My kids really enjoyed the breakfast too.

Hi as has been said before there are a lot of places to eat here, we are lunch from the bakery takeout service a few days ago ( great sandwiches high end priced) but this is for the restaurant. It's really nice, busy and buzzy but with enough space to stop other conversations interfering with your own. Great views over... More

Came to tour the bakery. If you eat at the restaurant on the upper level the tour of bakery is free! Upon completing the bakery tour we were seated for what was a fantastic array of delicious seafood entrees! Someone had the fish and chips - rated well. I had the Dungeness crab cake sandwich. Some seafood sandwiches are hits... More

We ate lunch upstairs in the Bistro. We got there around 11:30am, and were seated at a nice table overlooking the bay. Our server was pleasant and did a good job. We had the crab sandwich and the crab-corn bisque in a bread bowl. Both were very good. We were talking about the sourdough bread with our server and he... More
