Great service, AMAZING food and a great view out to the wharf. This was originally a trip in for a bread bowl, but after seeing the menu, we couldn't resist the steak...and wow. it was amazing! So tender and full of flavour. Would have ordered it all over again! Save room for dessert - the creme brulee was divine.

There's nothing better than a hot soup on cold winters night. And that was exactly our experience. We decided to eat in the restaurant upstairs and there there was only around a half hour wait. This gives you time to go through the museum and then see the bakers making all the bread, plus you get to sample the sourdough... More

Looking through the bakery window was a blast, even for an adult. They were making sourdough bread animals of all kinds. The restaurant was nice and airy, great view, nice service. I had the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, this is were it went bad. The bowl tasted day old, was tough even with the soup in it,... More

I was expecting this be your standard tourist trap in the midst of a bigger one. I really wanted to try their sourdough and chowder so thought I'd stop for takeout. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm greeting from everyone I interacted with there and found it to be a very authentic and down to earth place so I... More

This is the sit-down restaurant upstairs above the bakery. Ask for a table near the windows so you can look out at the water and Alcatraz while you eat. Signature sour dough bread is brought to your table. Good wine list. Good clam chowder. My favorites are their wedge salad and brick oven pizza. They have an appetizer of baked... More

Ate here on NYE with family and friends prior to a show and we were pleasantly surprised. Good location, nice views and the food was better quality and value than expected in the middle of a tourist trap if we visit there again I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again

Simply put - the food and service is excellent. We always make it a point to stop here for a meal every time that we are in San Francisco. A must stop if you are in San Francisco.

I wouldn't consider visiting San Francisco without going to Bistro Boudin at the Wharf. The food is always wonderful, the service is good and the view is lovely. The aroma of bread baking adds to the total experience.

My wife and I had lunch here upstairs in the restaurant section. Although the wait was long, the time flew by taking the free tour overlooking the bakery. Once we were seated our waiter was very friendly and fast. We both ordered a chowder bowl (of course) and shared a margherita pizza, both of which were great! Definitely worth stopping... More

A family reunion from Europe, and from east and west coast America, in San Francisco ....... a happy time made all the more special with lunch at Bistro Boudin!
