I have been to many places and enjoyed the fish and shrimp tacos. This is the bottom of the list. However: my wife had the sole and enjoyed it. The service was extremely slow. The bread was excellent as expected.

We always stop at Boudin when at the wharf and have eaten downstairs many times. After a long flight, we headed upstairs for a late lunch at a more relaxing pace. Our table by the window afforded a nice view. Boudin's bread is like none other and we enjoyed the basket as we awaited our meals. My crabcake sandwich was... More

Even though I was dining alone, they stayed me at a nice table by the windows. The service and food were both excellent.

Was looking forward to a great dinner but was a little disappointed. Had dined there previously and had a wonderful dinner and server. Our server was OK but not much personality - maybe too busy with other tables. The greens in the dinner salad were somewhat bitter but my husband said his Caesar salad was very good as was his... Excellent goat cheese and toasted sourdough appetizer. The seafood tacos - which were served very quickly - were good and a reasonable portion for lunch. Our server Kevin was outstanding; he knew the menu well, made suggestions, and was on point. Would dine here again.

Stopped in here for lunch after visiting Alcatraz. It was definitely busy because it was a Saturday afternoon on a beautiful day. It wasn't at first clear there is sit down full service dining on the second floor. When we found our way up there it was going to be a 30 minute wait for a table for two. We... More

We had dinner at Bistro Boudin on day 1 of our ten day California vacation. What a great way to start the trip. It wasn't too busy and being from New England, it wasn't nearly too chilly (despite everyone sitting inside) so we sat outside on a small deck area overlooking the pier with great views of Alcatraz and the... A bit spendy, we only had a couple sourdough chowder bowls and it eclipsed $50. The hostess didn't even bother asking if we had a seat preference- it was summer, sunny, and warm- so naturally we wanted to sit outside. She sat us in the back corner behind a group of probably fifteen who were loud as hell. Pretty snooty... More
