Very good clam chowder and sandwiches

Grabbed a bite to eat last night at Boudin. Very fresh food, and great flavor. Prices were at par with other restaurants in the area. Drinks were very expensive which was a bit disappointing. All in all, a great place to eat with an awesome bakery.

Good place to be at a sunny afternoon for lunch. Fresh made sandwiches of sour dough, with excellent choice of toppings. Quite a long waite, and be aware of the seabirds when sitting outside. Prices are quite high, but the sandwiches are marvellous.

Great view from the upstairs restaurant. We got seated within 8 minutes. Our server was John. He was well-spoken, clear to understand and friendly. Our meals were so tasty at lunch, we even stayed for dessert. I had fresh fish and fries, my friend had shrimp and angel hair pasta. For dessert I had key lime pie (wonderful taste and... More

We stopped at the Bistro Bar to to have a drink before dinner and we had so much fun with the barman that we decided to eat there ! We (4 of us ) tried the oysters , the calamari , the pizza and naturally the sourdough bread ! Everything was excellent and surprisingly enough , the prices were very... More

This is a beautiful restaurant upstairs with incredible views of the wharf and Alcatraz. Service was 5 star - very polite. We enjoyed a scrumptious shrimp cocktail appetizer, grilled chicken club with basil mayonnaise and a sourdough bowl of clam chowder. Felt like we were royalty. Very pleased with the atmosphere and treatment. Would highly recommend for the dining experience.... More

Best clam chowder and bread on the Wharf. Bonus- the store and the actual store- where the bread is made. A fun place.

On our first trip to San Francisco, my husband and I stopped by Fisherman's Wharf and stopped at Boudin due to the overwhelming smell of delicious bread. The bread was indeed scrumptious, as was the atmosphere. As for the main course, the food was good, but very pricey for the amount of food/quality and the service was rather slow. It... More

The ahi tuna was outstanding, and dessert was very tasty. This is a fun place to visit and see bread being made, then having a great meal with water views.

Walking by the bread smelled way too good not to give it a try. They were actually able to break their bread into different animal shapes, including crabs, alligators and turtles. The shapes were kind of gimmicky but the bread was outstanding. It had a hard outer crust and a soft sour inside, just like sourdough should.

The food was good, but I had to give 4 stars because it was overpriced for what it was. I got the beer battered fried shrimp and it came with 6 large (not jumbo) fried shrimp and shoe string French fries- for $25 before tax, tip, etc. My husband got the crab Mac and cheese, which he enjoyed.
