I bought a 2 pound oval loaf to go for only $4.99. As I was walking down the street, the bag seemed a little heavy and when I checked, I found that they had also included a one pound round loaf at no extra charge!! They either made a mistake or they had a lot of supply that they wanted... more

The overall experience was a little middle of the road. Appetizer was better than the main course, the service was mediocre, but the facilities were clean & attractive. Considering it's in the HEART of San Fran tourist district, I'd say they've maintained a quality product. You can ignore most of the menu, but don't miss the baked artisan goat cheese... more

We recently went to the downstairs portion of Boudins to get a bread bowl with clam chowder and an Anchor Steam Porter. This is a total San Francisco experience on the wharf. Yes, it is touristy and crowded especially on a Sunday afternoon but cheap and filling. We sat outside and took in the sights. I would recommend doing this... more

I'm 38 yo and in my life I can honestly say there's only 2 restaurants where I couldn't finish my meal... now I can add a 3rd, Boudin at the Wharf! What a big disappointment and a con of a restaurant. My wife and I waited 15-20mins to get a table on a Tuesday evening to start... fine, it's a... more

I have to say we were greatly disappointed. A friend of ours had eaten at the downstairs restaurant with great satisfaction a few times. We decided to try the "upscale" upper dining room. We arrived to the restaurant, our female friend used the rest room as we were seated and noticed a waitress in there. The waitress must have been... more

We went twice this week. Of course, the making of the bread is really interesting but I have to say it stops there. First if you are not eating in the restaurant upstair, then you have to fight to get a table. Then to go to the restrooms, you have to go to the restrooms in the middle of the... more

A good place for a decent sandwich or just get a hunk of warm bread to chow down on. Some good pastries as well. more

Excellent bread, it's not just a tourist trap. We took our warm and fragrant breadbowls filled with piping hot chowder onto the freezing evening ferry to Alcatraz and everyone was so jealous! more
