Good for a quick lunch

Crowded, but plenty of room to find a seat. The sandwiches and soups are delicious. Place your order then they call your name and go fined an empty table. The sour dough bread very good.

Great sandwiches with frech style bread. In the middle of the bay attractions. Different bread styles. Very nice place for breakfast or lunch.

The Clam Chowder in a sour dough bowl is outstanding! The crab salad on a sour dough baguette was tastless and dry. (these 2 items were just over $20.00USD) I waited for 19 minutes for my Chai Tea from the barista. Even after asking twice about it..... We carried our dinner out back to our hotel and sat by the... I cannot come to San Francisco and not stop at Boudins! Their chili in a bread bowl is amazing. Worth stopping in!

This is definitely a different place to eat. It is known for its bread bowl soup with clam chowder. We were in a hurry so we just got sandwiches but it seemed like every order being prepared was the bread bowl clam chowder if that says anything. This place is known for its bread. While you wait for your order... More

My husband and I both tried the bread bowl and clam chowder! It wasn't the best chowder ever, but it was pretty good! Loved the bread bowl and the experience of the environment!

I had a delicious lunch with my youn daughters. We were doing the touristy things at Fisherman's Wharf and wanted to step away from the chaos. The restaurant is upstairs of the famed bakery. It is late with great views if the water. We were there early and got right in, but it looked like a long wait when we... More

I was expecting some really fantastic chowder, but it wasn't, Unfortunately, it was more like clam flavored wallpaper paste. Too much flour, thick, pasty, and you could almost stand your spoon up in it. More like clam gravy. The bread is top notch though.
