Good gracious that's good Guiness

This place delivers a good time with cold beer, a raucous crowd, fun house band and solid bar staff. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back again but that's more a function of there being a lot of places to drink in SF and not the result of my experience. I felt a little like I was... read more

Enjoyed wandering in one night while my family shopped. It's a famous place and I enjoyed seeing many photos of the famous celebrities and sports figures who've visited! Great place for a pint, for certain.

+ Pork chops were one of the best things I've ever eaten. + Good selection of beers (including the Irish staples) + Diverse, varied menu + Decor and atmosphere were very nice! - Though no fault of the restaurant, we sat next to one of the most obnoxious diners we've ever had the misfortune of encountering.

This was our first stop in SF after checking to our hotel, which was fortuitously close by. It was great! We all had a the chowder, the potato skins and a great time.

We stopped in several times, mid-evening and late night, and the bartenders were awesome! We sat at the bar and had Murphy's Stout, Moscow Mules, Fish and Chips and Smoked Salmon Boxty. Live Music too!

My wife and I stopped in for a a drink or two or five during a weeknight. The pub has a great atmosphere and the service was superb. I would recommend to a friend.

The pub was packed to the gills last night and everyone was having a great time. The bartenders know how to pour proper pints and more importantly, ensure that guests know that it will take some time to procure. The food was great last night, and I was in and out relatively quickly (if not for meetings, I'd have stayed... More

Inconspicuous from the outside, this place is quite large, but tends to get crouded around early evenings. I like the stucco on the coffered ceilings, the old wooden bar arrangement, and the friendly bar tenders. I enjoyed large creamy oysters, Tandoori like chicken skewers, and the cider on tap. They feature a large choice of beers on tap, too.

I ordered takeout, and sat at the bar while waiting for my lamb sliders. The host had an Irish accent (not sure if it was genuine or not). Friendly bartender and host. It was a Monday night, but the place was crowded (during PRIDE fest). The lamb sliders were excellent! Would love to go back and enjoy it with friends.... More

A damn good approximation of the real thing. Having just returned from a whirl wind trip to London - Foley's is a friendly reminder that you can get that touch of charm and good cheer that seems to inhabit nearly every good pub - which really means good talk, food and music now and then. Oh and good guiness!! Three... More
