We were staying at the Hilton next door to this pub when on the way home we decided to go for one last drink. By chance we ended up going down some stairs and into a basement bar with two pianos. Little did we know we had just stumbled upon an amazing 'dueling piano' bar! Once the pianists starting playing... More

My friend and I stopped in for a few cocktails after a day of shopping in SF. The drinks here are excellent. The Tom Collins was made from scratch and generously poured. The whiskey sour were also done well. Maria H was our server and she was polite, attentive, and charming. When four drinks with tip run you $50, it... More

We went into this Irish Bar for a drink but ended up staying for a great meal. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food was really great. The atmosphere is very buzzy and the service is great. I definitely recommend the crab cakes - excellent.

We love dueling piano bars and seek them out when we travel. We have been to many, and this one was one of the best, for sure. The talent, the crowd, the venue--all terrific. Don't miss a night at Johnny Foley's if you are in San Fran. Great fun and amazing talent.

Went there recently on our visit to San Fran have to say the food was lovely, staff very friendly, they even had a gluten free menu that meant a lot as one of our party is a Coeliac and you don't find that in the states very often. Its a very busy bar for both food and drink's but we... More

This bar restaurant was always busy. There was a brilliant atmosphere and live music on most nights. Sometimes it was difficult to get seated or served due to the bars popularity. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff here who were mostly not from San Francisco & some of whom were of Irish origin were very talkative... More

Basic Irish food, Good variety, but nothing that really stands out. Service was excellent, but the place has nothing to soften the noise, and subsequently is very loud with sound reflecting off of the floor, ceiling, and walls. Price is a bit too much for average food.

The beers were expensive ($8 for draft) and the upstairs area was really loud. The downstairs piano bar was much more enjoyable and the musicians really worked the crowd. The food was not excellent but pretty good for pub food. All in all it was a good time.
