Excellent food and beer. Had the fish & chips, and the Wild Mushroom Ravioli accompanied with Guinness Blonde Lager. Had the potato skins for an appetizer. Overall very pleased.

5 stars purely for the duelling pianos, a highlight of our trip. The cover charge of $10 pp. on a Saturday night got us in, and seating at table required 2 drinks min pp. Further tips were given to request songs. There were 3 pianists (2 at a time on nice digital pianos). The bald guy was a real virtuoso,... More

I've visited this bar a number of times at various business trips to SF. I've always enjoyed the kitchen and the environment. It's lively, vibrant - great place to be after work.

I always eat in Johnny Foley’s when in San Francisco. The service is friendly and the food is good. This time I had the Irish lamb stew, and was very pleased with it. Great pub atmosphere. Lots of beers on draught.

We stopped by to watch the NFL season opener between the Packers and 49ers. The Packers didn't fare too well, but we had excellent service and perfect Guinness and Murphy's pints. When we stopped back later in the weekend, and the following weekend, our favorite Irish bartender remembered what we ordered!

We only stayed for a pint (not quite a pint in size) of Magners which was expensive at 9 dollars 50. Looks like an English pub inside but nice. It was loud inside with screens blaring out sport on the TV which was a shame.

Visited this pub/restaurant whist in San Fransico. We ate there and had the fish and chips which was excellent, if, as usual in the USA, to large and probably a tad expensive for fish and chips. The service was great, the beer good and the atmosphere great too. Well worth a visit.

I like this place. The lamb stew was pretty damn good. It needed some extra broth after I was halfway through, but the bartender took care of that right away. Very good options for beer on tap. The whiskey pours were ok, not great. I'll come back.
