Quaint Irish restaurant

We found Johnny Foley's our last day this visit. That's the only thing I was sad about! The draft beer selection is what you would expect at an Irish pub and the bartender knew how to pour. Food was delicious. We split a bangers and mash and a Gorgonzola apple salad. I would highly recommend both. The dessert cookies are... More

This is a great Irish pub with surprisingly good food. It's located in the Union Sq area. Come here for drinks or lunch. The lamb sliders were great & would recommend trying them. The menu is interesting & not a traditional Irish Pub menu.

Great atmosphere, great beer and good food. Foley's is a great place to meet up in downtown San Francisco. It's noisy but always buzzing.

I have been here several times for drinks and it is such a fun place to hang out with friends and meet people to drink with for the night. The ambiance is great and the drinks are well made. The bartenders, wait staff, and front door are helpful and do their job to make it a good experience.

We were in SF for 4 days and our hotel was close, so it was natural that we headed there for a beer our first day. Enjoyed it so much we returned every day. The food is well prepared and tasty. Won't go back to SF without stopping here. Bartenders are the best and Andrich(sp?) is a hoot, be sure... More

Enjoyed wandering in one night while my family shopped. It's a famous place and I enjoyed seeing many photos of the famous celebrities and sports figures who've visited! Great place for a pint, for certain.

This place delivers a good time with cold beer, a raucous crowd, fun house band and solid bar staff. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back again but that's more a function of there being a lot of places to drink in SF and not the result of my experience. I felt a little like I was... More

+ Pork chops were one of the best things I've ever eaten. + Good selection of beers (including the Irish staples) + Diverse, varied menu + Decor and atmosphere were very nice! - Though no fault of the restaurant, we sat next to one of the most obnoxious diners we've ever had the misfortune of encountering.
