If you go to San Francisco make sure this Pub is on your list to visit! Food, drinks and service is amazing. After the first night visiting the Pub this is where we ended our day of sightseeing for the rest of our vacation.Great live music each night, and a Duelling Pianio Bar downstairs and the bartenders make you feel welcome... Dropped in to Foley s on two successive nights and saw two very good bands with cover charge. Great fun. As an Irish person Id say it does Irish very well and this wouldn't be out of place in Dublin.

We have travelled in Ireland, too, and can vouch that pubs don't get any Irisher than Johnny Foley's in San Francisco. What also impresses us is the breadth of the menu, both food and drink, from bangers and mash to oyster dishes, from Irish ales to quality wines. And the spirit is high and friendly. We always feel welcome and... More

I sat at the bar and watch the Giants. I had the shepherds pie and some beers. The staff was super nice and the food was great. They guy next to me got fish n chips and they looked great as well. They must have been he was licking his plate.

I've been to this bar several times, and had a chance to listen to some really good music. Unfortunately, there were also some not so good bands... Very good food. Worthy going to dinner and stay for the night.

Within 10-15 minutes walk of downtown where I was staying for work I ended up at Johnny Foleys five times over two weeks. You can wait at the front to be seated at a table or wander through and try and get a seat at the long bar. Lot's or irish/English ales etc on tap. I was here for the... More

Our group loved the Irish beer selection! Having been to Ireland we were happy to see Magner's Cider on tap as well as Kilkenny and Smithwicks and many more. The best was THEY HAD BOXTY ON THE MENU! I was in Ireland for a week and for some reason never got to try boxty and had really wanted to. So... More
